"That's true, and have you all received the invitations for her birthday?" As they uttered about the invitations, everyone's eyes then went on me

"By the way Lady Alyssa, do you have an engagement to announce?" The Queen suddenly said, as I froze on my place

"Are you sure you didn't know? Everyone from the ton already knew of it" a lady stated as I laugh awkwardly
"I don't know anything about that, I've been busy conversing with the Marchioness so I don't really know"I said which is entirely not a lie because both me and Lady Chloe have been talking some decent stuffs in the past few days, taking a glimpse to the Marchioness who gave everyone a smile, a confirmation that I was telling the truth
"I see, well....most of the people have seen you and the Marquis dating in the town a few days ago, that's why we assume that your already be engage to him" A lowly Countess stated as I sigh loudly and was about to respond about that-
"Who's engaged to whom?" A familiar voice was heard as I cursed mentally in my head
Aish... Why did that damn princess entered the room in that exact timing....
"My darling! Welcome, we're just talking about the engagement with Lady Alyssa and the Marquis" The queen enthusiastically told the Princess who's gaze darken while looking at me
If the Princess likes the Marquis, why can't she just tell him how she felt?!
Is it because that she's a princess and men just flocked her?
Men just bombing her with love confessions?
Or because of her pride? Why must lady tend to act like some brats?

"I see, then are you officially engaged Lady Alyssa?"she asked me, glaring at me
"Actually no.... everyone misunderstood, I've rejected the Marquis lots of times and I plan to reject him more in the future so no need to have your guard Princess" I stated with a smile, a smile so bright
"Really? Well, what a sad luck then, well... I'm sure that there's ton of men would want you Lady Alyssa" The Archduchess suddenly said, as everyone then looked at her with confusing look
