Unexpected

Part 3

Namjoon woke up excited. His brother had taken his son on vacation to let him get through with work for a week. Even though he missed Taehyung, he was extremely happy that his son was happy and exploring the world instead of being cooped up in his home and being watched by the housekeeper. Namjoon was admittedly stuck in a rut since his girlfriend died giving birth to Taehyung, which made him very distraught for 2 years. His brother Seokjin had to yell at him and remind him to live his life and for his son, he would do anything so he worked hard and built his business until it became one of the top 5 companies in Seoul.  He decided to get ready for work, going into the office to finish his work for the day so he could pick them up in a few hours.

His secretary met him at the company door, giving him his itinerary for the day. He stopped walking and looked at his secretary who looked scared. He sighed and looked at her.

"I only have 1 hour before I have to pick up my son,"

"What about your meetings?" she asked

"You mean the ones I told you to reschedule?" he asked

"I'm sorry, I'll do it now," she said, looking scared

"Thank you, and when you are finished you can take the rest of the day off," he said calmly

"Thank you," she replied, bowing before she went to her desk

Namjoon went to his office and got straight to work, almost forgetting to stop. When his secretary came to tell him she had finished, he rushed out and went to the airport, getting there 10 minutes after his brother told him to but from the texts he received, they were on time. He looked up when the driver announced that they had arrived and he spotted his son but what he saw next almost made him stop functioning. It took him a minute to gather himself with the help of the driver who raised his voice. Namjoon cleared his throat and got out, fixing his suit before walking towards the group. He smiled when Taehyung shouted his name and ran to him. He immediately picked him up, kissing his cheek and giving a hug.

"Appa, I missed you," he said

"I missed you too Tae, did you have fun?"

The boy gave him a weird synopsis of his trip while he walked up to the others. Hoseok ran to him and he did the same thing, picking him up and kissing his cheek. He managed to get to the beautiful lady, where he talked to her for a bit, getting her to agree to meet him later. His brother teased him until he left him outside of his apartment, taking both Hoseok and Taehyung with him, giving the boys the lunch the chef prepared while he listened to Jin curse him out before they joined the boys. Jin and Hoseok left to go to their apartment while he spent an hour watching television with his son before they both fell asleep.

Namjoon awoke to his phone ringing and without thinking, he answered it, his voice was extremely deep and raspy.

"Hello?" he said confused

"Hi Namjoon-shi, it's Soomi," she said with a sweet voice

"Y-Y-Yes Soomi, sorry, I fell asleep," he said apologetically

"It's okay," she said

"Am I late?" he asked, sitting up

"No, I wanted to know where we were meeting," she answered

"I'll pick you up, what time is it?"

"3: 15, I'll shower and come over,"

"You sound tired, I'll get a ride there, where exactly am I going?"

"No, I' ll come, can you give me 30 minutes?"

"Sure, love please don't do that," she said to Jimin

Namjoon listened to the conversation until the line went dead. He woke Taehyung and gave him a bath and helped him get dressed in comfortable clothes before he showered and wore a similar outfit: long fitted blue jeans, white t-shirt and black bomber jacket with black boots. He dressed Taehyung in a similar outfit but put white sneakers on instead of boots.
