Natasha & Kate Headcanons

- Natasha is literally a huge softie with Kate

- They oftentimes end up training together for hand-to-hand since Natasha is a lot better at that aspect of training than Clint is

- Natasha is physically more gentle with Kate but Kate is left feeling much more exhausted after sparring with Natasha because the redhead is constantly testing her weaknesses and forcing her to improve

- Natasha is Kate's favorite Avenger besides Clint

- Kate will always come to Natasha for advice and comfort when Clint's not around and oftentimes even when Clint is

- Natasha plays the role of a positive older female figure in her life and since her mother is in prison, she needs that now more than ever

- Kate's mother was never very approving of Kate unless Kate was perfectly behaved and appropriate as per her mother's standards

- With Natasha, all that Kate is expected to be is herself– good, kind, loving Kate

- Natasha oftentimes calls Kate shchenok which is Russian for puppy since Kate is so clumsy, goofy, and sweet-natured

- Kate calls her Tasha, and despite the fact that it's not a very original nickname, it still makes Natasha's heart swell that the kid calls her a nickname at all

- Natasha sees Kate as another little sister figure and she is diligently trying to get Yelena to also adopt an older sister persona, but the blonde is fighting her every step of the way, determined to stay Natasha's youngest and only sister

- Kate wishes they were both her sisters

- Kate feels really safe with Natasha since Natasha is always exuding this persona of perfect calmness and confidence

- She hopes for her first real mission with the Avengers to have both Clint and Natasha with her since her dreams would come true and she would be fighting alongside her favorite Avengers as a true hero once and for all
