"Mom what should I do?"
"Move on. Forget about him."
"Mom!"
"What? You asked for my advice."
"Yeah but I meant should we try to work things out so it's not awkward."
"I mean if you want." She shrugs and walks to the next rack in the store.
"I don't want to move on though."
"Why honey? He broke your heart."
"Because I still love him. He's the first person I was actually truly, madly in love with."
"Yeah. Then he messed it up."
"I know."
"Then you have to move on, find someone new."
"I don't know."
"It's your only option. What if you go back to Matt and regret it? What if he breaks your heart again?"
"I would be fine with that if I got to be near him again." I mumbled under my breath.
"Here's some money, go eat, pack, and I'll drive you to the airport.
"Okay. Thanks mom see you at home."
I went to the small cafe down the street and bought a salad and a latte and walked back to my moms house.
Every time my phone buzzed I secretly hoped it was Matt.
