1 - Meeting the dragon riders

Your POV

You quietly stalked a sheep, folding your dark colored wings. Your eyes were fixed on your prey. You haven't eaten since yesterday's dinner which was an old fish and a few berries. 

Suddenly, a crunching sound was heard from the other side of the clearing. The sheep ran away in fear. You narrowed your eyes in annoyance and dropped your stance. Who was daring enough to destroy your chance for breakfast?

You opened your mouth silently to fire a plasma blast that could kill a tree in one. 

"TOOTHLESS WAIT UP!" 

You froze. A human's voice. Another playful growling sound was heard too. 

"Clear off human!" You jumped out and snapped at him with sharp teeth. But instead of a human, another dragon popped up. You stared at it. The night fury was transfixed with your gaze. 

"What's-" 

A human boy called Hiccup Haddok was walking to his dragon is confusion. More people emerged from behind. 

"Hiccup?" a girl asked. You arched your back offensively and shot a blast. It hit between a pair of twins.

"Woah woah woah woah woah we're not gonna hurt you." Hiccup ushered you. You growled,  opening your mouth to blast. 

"Wait stop that's my rider!" the male night fury spoke. You stopped and looked at him in surprise.

"I don't care." You turned back to him. Then Toothless pounced on top of you. 

"Don't- attack- him." he hit you lightly on the head. You snarled and caught his paw in your mouth. He yelped as you bit him with the force he hit you. 

"Stay away from me!" 

"Calm down." Hiccup went closer to you. 

"Corner him!" Astrid yelled. You faced her and leapt forward, only to meet a deadly nadder. 

"Get away." Stormfly said, aiming her tail at you. You bared your teeth and spun around to see a small human in front of you. 

"I'm gonna hit you so hard that you'll-"

You batted him away easily.

"OW!" Snotlout got up and winced. 

"Can you just not hit us?" Hookfang said in frustration as you took a swipe at his tail.

"What do you want me to do, lick you instead?" You flew upwards as the vikings called their dragons. 

"Maybe." Barf hissed. You used your wings to blow the explosive gas away. 

"Don't fire idiots!" Ruff yelled to their twin dragons. 

"We just need to knock him out." Hiccup told the group. 

"HER PEOPLE, HER!" You screamed at them. Is a female really that hard to tell from a male? You rammed into Meatlug, causing her to fall out of the air with Fishlegs. 

"Is this really that hard? Come one guys it's just one male-" 

You roared in fury and attacked Hiccup. You flew up and grabbed the one-legged viking off of his dragon and into the sky. Toothless immediately started to fall, roaring for his human. 

"Don't kill him! Drop him now!" 

"Hiccup, hold on!" Astrid raced up with her dragon. You knew they could gain as much altitude as you could. Hiccup started to feel light-headed as you flew higher and higher.

"Can you...drop-" he mumbled. You looked at him and dived, concentrating. Hiccup woke up from his trance and yelled. 

"GUYS HELP ME!" 

You suddenly did a short plasma blast and dropped him, making him land in the water hard. You glided away from him, feeling a little guilty and a lot triumphant.

"Hiccup!" the remaining riders dived into the water to get him.

"Why'd you do that?" Belch asked you. 

"Why not? I don't like people. And I don't like dragons that were tamed by people." You told him. 

"Just- die!" Toothless screamed from the ground. 

"Oh someone's angry." You said sarcastically. You flew to the ground only to be tackled by a handsome night fury. 

"HE COULD'VE DIED IDIOT! HE'S MY OWNER AND RIDER AND HE CARES FOR ME! I CARE FOR HIM TOO AND YOU JUST DIDN'T CARE AND TRIED TO KILL HIM!" Toothless roared at you. You got flipped on your back. His face was inches from yours. You could see his handsome features more now; his eyes were a pale green and his expression in an angry sort of way. It was cute-looking somehow. 

"I don't trust people! They killed and murdered the ones I care about!" You defended. He sighed and let you go. 

"Toothless?" Hiccup staggered towards his dragon. 

The night fury glared at you and wrapped his owner tightly before licking him happily. 

"Your mood changes as fast as a Speed Stinger runs." You remarked to him. He blushed, or were you imagining it?

"So, we can just leave this dragon and go home right?" Snotlout asked. 

"No." Hiccup said. You saw determination in his eyes. "I'm not gonna miss a chance to study and experience another night fury when we thought they were dead."

"Like we're gonna get along." You muttered, snorting at the thought. Everyone glanced at you at the same time, making you hiss in annoyance. 

"Fine I'll come as long as you have food and everyone ignores me." You said to the dragons. 

"They can't understand you-" Hookfang said right away. 

"I know, fireball." You looked at Hiccup and nodded in a friendly sort of way. He looked surprised.

"Wait, you wanna come now?"

"I just- ok yeah." You came up close to him. He held his hand up for you to touch. Everyone held their breaths. 

You simply stared at the hand for a long moment and then turned away.

"Oh. Awkward." Tuff sniffed. 

"Rejected!" Snotlout laughed. Astrid elbowed him and he fell down from the force and strength.

"Ouch. Anyway, just follow us." Hiccup sighed and got onto Toothless's back. 

You spread your wings, noticing Fishlegs's staring at its design. You huffed at him and he coughed and looked away. 

"Damn, how do you get along with these people?"

"We don't know. We just pray to Thor that we survive." Barf answered. 

"I will probably hit the human in the face and say it was Thor's fault then." You grinned. You felt someone's eyes on you again and thought it was Fishlegs. You looked around to see him facing the front. You then saw Toothless's green eyes on you for a second. You blushed and sighed internally.
