Sia was only twelve years old,
she had a mind of her own.
She believed in dreams.
In fairy tales, and mermaid stories.
She would find herself hoping,
she could be living under water,
for the remainder of her life.
"At least, Christo would not have to worry,
so much about my future.
I would be safer and happier there."
She somberly thought.
She supremely failed to understand the latter.
Sometimes, even mermaids
dreamed they could be humans too.
The grass may look greener in the neighbor's yard,
but take a closer look,
