Chapter 11

"WOW CHARMY THIS LOOKS AMAZING!" you exclaimed looking at all the delicious food Charmy whipped up for the squad's first dinner with new members

You were so hungry after todays tour

"Thank you! I wanted to give you the yummiest food after your very first day staying here!" Charmy said through the meat she had stuffed in her mouth

"I'm surprised, a lady as beautiful as you could stay here around these ruffians." Finral complimented only to be cut off and stuffed into Veronica's boobs

"Awe come on Finral we're not that bad! You love us!" She said drunkenly and cheered to you all being here once again

You peered over at Asta who sat solemnly next to you, after devouring his food he decided to talk to Magna and Luck about how it's crazy that the house moves around constantly about the night and it doesn't make a sound. Magna and Asta talked about their villages as well and how they they're better from one another

You talked to Vanessa some more about discovering your new witchly culture. She told you about some things herself but kept it minimal which you didn't mind. Charmy gave you some more food even when you told her you couldn't eat anymore

Everyone was in their own little world of talking and laughter. Life was great so far

"Hey Y/n I'm gonna head to bed. Remember that you still gotta write your letter to the village." Asta reminded you before going upstairs to find his room

You thought that you should call it a night as well

"I'm going with you. Gimme a sec!" You shouted him as he walked slowly to the stairs

"Bye everyone! Goodnight!" You gleamed, getting up from your seat and pushing in the chair afterwards walking up beside Asta and conversing with him

"That girl sticks to Asta's side like glue. They make a pretty cute couple." Vanessa said after you two left taking another sip of her drink and eating the rest of her food

"Funny thing is, they're not together." Magna said with a smirk on his face, it quickly went away when Vanessa spit her drink out on him in disbelief

"What?!"

"EW VANESSA!"

"But it looks so obvious that they are! You're playing with me right?" Vanessa asked slamming down her silverware

Gordon chimed in to the convo but no one could hear him deny the accusations that Asta and you weren't together

"No, it came from one of the little horsies mouths. Asta told me they grew up in a church in the village and they've been best friends ever since then." Magna said crossing his arms over his chest

"Well it's obvious that she likes him." Vanessa said nonchalantly, taking another sip from her almost finished drink

"I just hope things work out for them at the end of the day."

"How long was your letter Asta?" You asked turning around to him in your chair as he was tucking himself into bed

"About 3 pages I think." He said before yawning and stretching

"Okay then I'll make mine just as long." You said grabbing three pieces of paper and getting your quill ready to write

You hummed a tune while you wrote, it was one your mother would sing to you every night before bed, Asta would hear you singing it sometimes. He enjoyed hearing you sing

"Hey Y/n?" He asked after a few minutes of listening to you sing

"Yeah?"

"What was that today?" He asked referring to your behavior
