This is a poem about the state of man before and after redemption. I hope it blesses you.✨

The Loss, Purchase and Gain

You sold out yourself,
For a bite from the forbidden fruit.
Where now is thy wisdom?
Tell me.
I want to know.

You forfeited your birthright,
For much less than a morsel of porridge.
Where now is thy satisfaction?
Bring it.
Let me taste it.

You became puffed up with guile,
Yielding to the carousing of sin.
Where is now thy elevation?
Show me.
Let me see it.

Alas, woe is befallen thee,
For all is lost.
Precious virtues wasted.
Hard earned values stolen while you watched.

But, I.
I will have mercy and not sacrifice.
I said, I will plead your cause.
For I am strong. Your Redeemer.

But, I.
I will pay the price; the price of blood.
I said, I am willing to die in your stead.
For I am love. Your life.

But, I.
I will restore you. Fully.
I said, as surely as my bowels of compassion is stirred within me,
As certain as the rising of the dawn,
I will cause you to arise again.

And now, you have regained all that has been lost,
Not having to input any effort.

Here is the catch,
Misuse not this great redemption that has been wrought.
Misplace not your seal.

For thine adversary still prowls nigh,
Seeking for a slip so he can hijack you redemption.

Might be short, but I hope it resonates with your spirit. If it did, don't forget to leave a vote, a comment and share this out.

God bless you. 💖
