I met the man on the moon
On the moon
And I heard him ask
"What's your dream?
Where do you want to go?"

I met the man on the moonOn the moonAnd I heard him ask"What's your dream?Where do you want to go?"

Flying in the galaxies, I answered
"I dream of living in the light.
I dream of fleeing the dark side and traveling to a better time
Only I can't,
I'm stuck with this broken, bruised heart that can't fly any longer ."

Falling on the stars
I knelt before the man on the moon
Watching my tears fall down to the heavens
And my broken heart reached the man on the moon's heart.

He reached out
He pulled me up to stand on the moon with him
And he gently laid a fallen star on my broken heart
He patched me up and sprinkled my torn heart with star dust

And he spoke
The man on the moon leaned close
Speaking softly he uttered these words
"Use the stars on your heart to light the way
They'll lead you towards the land free of monsters, full of sun, bright days and lightweight souls."

Giving me pixie dust he pushed me off the moon and set me sailing in space.
He pushed me away towards the setting sun
But not before I saw a tear drip onto Venus's cloudy exterior.

So I flew to another place
And received a cover for my cracked heart.
I no longer needed the stars to patch up the tears.
I sang a song and laughed a melody on the happy clouds.

But I didn't forget the man on the moon.
I looked back and saw his cold face helping other dark souls find a place to rest their weary bodies until they could fly to a better place.
I saw him reach into his supply of stardust and treat countless torn hearts.

He looked up.
He saw me.
Smiling, he waved
And motioned me to stay in the light.
Although he was lonely, he would never beckon a single soul to stay on the cold moon.

For there's only room for one man on the moon.
