" i think we should help that kid from getting beaten up , jun " kim jieun ─ junhao's friend of thirteen years had pointed at the fourteen year old boy who was getting bullied from afar , and junhao shrugged

" i wont recommend us to go unnie , its dangerous ─ we could literally get targetted by those perverts " junhao replied , with her other friend gahyun agreeing 

" i arrived at my parents house , see you girls soon ! " she exclaims before going inside ─ and as expected her parents were in a business trip for the nth time this year .

junhao's parents were always in business trips starting to when she was five years old , leaving her alone in the house with her aunt , but ever since she turned eighteen they knew she was responsible and old enough to take care of herself

her attitude had started at the age of eight , when some kids were picking on her childhood friend resulting her to move not even a year after ─ and when junhao heard about the loss of her best friend she got pretty angry and grew up while picking on the kids who picked on her best friend and as she got used to it , she slowly forgot her normal self and had changed .

her father was abusive towards her , always finding a chance to hit her whenever her mother was absent ─ and that had probably teached her to use self defense

she had always felt the need to become all rude when she goes to school but at home , if she did not have an unknown guest around she would start being all soft

" its pretty cold today " she mumbled  , putting her jacket on .

jeno stared at his phone , debating wether he should text his friends for help , or just leave them be and walk around the neighbourhood 

after moments of thinking , jeno stood up and took his jacket before leaving with his phone in his hands .

while he walked to the nearby shop ─ he noticed a familiar girl who was wearing ear pods while eating ice cream 

" she looks very familiar " jeno mumbles be for walking closer to see her face , and that made him smile from ear to ear " junie , we meet again " 

the younger looks up to see the male , but then looked back to her ice cream as she kept of devouring it , trying her best to ignore him and walk back to home faster but he kept following her footsteps ─ and that had made her pretty much annoyed 

" come on at least a hi would be great " he sulked , grabbing onto her arm about too tightly

" can't you just pretend that i don't exist? it's annoying when i have to communicate with others " junhao replied , slapping jeno's hand away

and then jeno stood infront of her , puffing air in his cheeks and let the air out " look ,  i want us to be friends ─ i can even help you to escape from your father " jeno shook her shoulders while she stood there , shocked

my life is doomed...

" you ─ go away , don't appear from my sight " junhao mumbled , pushing the older away but jeno held onto her hands and hugged her tightly

" i won't tell anyone about it " he mumbles , with junhao trying to push him away but the boy was too strong for her to even move an inch away without struggling .

and at the end junhao had given up , letting the older embrace her in the hug that she slolwy started to feel comfort in
