the walls of the cabin were a gorgeous sea foam blue. tiny blue fish were hand painted on the walls with diamonds for their scales. I was blown away. seriously.

havana began to tell us the rundown of today and the exact locations where we would go to on our way to the capitol. and the route we would take

" oh and this year- 3 of each districts will be together in a train to save more space for the less fortunate districts and to create more allies! isn't that fun? " she smiled

I raised my eyebrow. " so only one and two and three will be on this car? that will be dreadful for three " I asked

" no, actually, they did four instead of three! since we have almost as many victors as them, and we are basically a career district they included us. " havana replied

" but we don't train until we are 14 at least! " I protested

" but you've trained since you were eight right? " she asked

" yeah, but that's because my mom was a prior victor. " I answered

" then you have nothing to worry about! " havana ushered away my concerns for Kaleb and began to blab on about the arrangements

is this even legal for them to do? is snow trying to get us killed before the games? so many thoughts were flowing through my head, I can't think straight right now.

" in the next hour, you will meet the rest of the careers! now go get ready darlings! " havana said as she ushered me and Kaleb of the district four main cabin, and into a hallway

" I think this is your room sydney. " Kaleb mumbled

" oh, ok." I walked over to the room that had " district four, s.o " engraved in the wooden door. I turned the shiny gold knob and was awaken with a whole new world.

I took a step inside and quietly shut the door behind me. Turning around, I notice Kaleb has vanished, and I assume he went to his room.

The whole room was a elegant off white, waves were painted on the walls. I flopped down onto the queen bed and was delighted to discover they had silk bedsheets.

honestly, any type of silk things I love. It reminds me of my mom, at least one thing I get to hold on about her while I'm here. besides the necklace of course.

I leaned up from the bed and noticed a huge closet built into my wall, I got off of the bed and opened up the closet. inside was almost every color of dress you could imagine. every style, in district fours ocean fashion, of course.

I pulled out a blue shimmery dress that almost matched my reaping outfit exactly- except for the fact that it was much longer, and looked like it would make my curves stand out heavily.

I scanned through the clothes, only feeling sorry that I probably would never be able to wear all of these. or at least more than 3.

I finally decided on a soft blue colored long ish dress with shells embroidered on the hem, and the scalloped upper half of the dress.

I put a sheer white coat over the dress and gasped as I looked into the mirror, I was basically unrecognizeable

I braided strands of my hair and left the rest down, then searched through the room for some type of hair clip. I found a small pearl clip and attached it onto my hair.

now, why can't I be a stylist? I should be one of those prep team people.

I wonder when I'm gonna meet my own team.

" sydneyyy!! come out now! " havana hollered from outside of my door. I walked over to my door and turned the knob slowly. the door creeped open

" ta daaa!! " I said playfully. Havana gasped in shock

" look at you! you'll get so many sponsors if you look like that for the parade. " she gushed

" thank you! " I blushed

Havana then guided me to a huge cabin cart in the next cabin over. inside was a long table, fitted with 24 seats, with Kaleb being filled in one of the seats, and another boy filled in the another. he looked about 18, he had straw blonde hair, and seemed like he could snap my neck at any second.

he probably could.

I quickly ushered myself away from the seemingly deadly boy and went to the very far end of the table.
I sat on the last chair on the right. My blue dress neatly draped over the cushion for the seat. it was the perfect length

I started playing with my nails, waiting for the 3 other people to come in.
I wasn't that excited for whoever was going to be sitting across from me, it was probably going to be a district 1 girl. maybe 2? I'm quite nervous actually, I just couldn't admit myself to it.

the cabin doors whooshed open, and there stood a short brunette girl wearing a metallic skintight dress. her white cape framed her body elegantly

I could feel myself getting red in the face
