As soon as Delilah woke up, Harry scooped her up and brightened her tired mood by spinning her and trudging around the room with her, making her laugh and squeal.
"I've got someone I want you to meet" Harry told her
"New Fend?!" she asked hopefully
"Yes! She's Daddy's best friend. Wanna meet her?"
"Yes, yes, Daddy!" she chanted
"Her name is Claire. can you say Claire?" he asked before setting her down
"Chair?"
"No, Clare"
"C..Cl-air"
"There ya go.." he mumbled as he set her down
Claire waved cheerfully from her seat on the couch
Delilah studied her for a second.. She just watched her carefully
Then the little girl waddled over, past Kendall, and climbed onto the cushion next to Claire.
"Hi" Claire said softly
"Daddy's fend?"
"Yes, your daddy is my friend" Claire smiled warmly at Harry then looked back down at the girl
"Best?" she asked while raising her eyebrows.
Claire thought she looked just like Harry as she nodded and confirmed that Harry was, infact, her best friend.
"I'm from really far away. I came to visit you and your daddy" Claire explained
"Here to play?" Delilah gasped
"Yes, we can play"
"See my room?" She asked excitedly
"Is that okay with your daddy and mommy?"
Delilah spun around and looked at Harry
"Daddy? She see my room?"
"Ask mommy"
She turned to Kendall and repeated "See room?"
"Yes, show her where it is" Kendall laughed softly as she spoke and nodded
Delilah to Claire's hand, stumbled off the couch, and lead Claire down the hall
Before they could pass Harry, Claire took his hand and dragged him along too

After playing in Delilah's bedroom floor for around 15 minutes, Kendall came in and announced that she had to go to a date tonight. Harry happily said he'd take their daughter for the night.
"hey, baby, Mama's gotta go now. You be good for daddy?"
"Stay with Daddy and Care?"
"Yes.. Stay with daddy and Claire while I go out. Be good, okay? I love you"
"Love momma okay" she grinned
Kendall kissed her head. Then she waved to Claire. And looked at Harry..
"I'm.. I'm gonna go" she nodded slowly
"Have a good date" Harry smiled, not catching the sadness in Kendall's eyes
"Sure" she agreed then left
Harry kneeled next to Delilah, who was currently showing every one of her favorite toys to Claire and making her hold them, and he asked her a very important question...
"Hey, Dee? Sweetheart?"
"Daddy" she smiled
"What do you think of our new friend?" he asked as he set her on his knee
They were both facing Claire who was smiling softly at the scene playing out infront of her
"Cl.. Claire?" Delilah asked slowly, trying to get her name right
"Yes. Is Claire nice?"
Delilah nodded enthusiastically
"Is she your friend?"
"Best!" Delilah said before jumping towards Claire
Claire had to scoot forwards really fast to catch the little girl before she fell into a pile of toys
"Be careful, be careful" Claire sighed as she looked at the toddler in her arms
Delilah just smiled and sat herself happily in Claire's lap
