When my name was called, I entered the room feeling nervous and anxious. When I saw one of the interviewers, my heart began to beat even faster
Cause I know her.

Sophia Kim, my ex back in highschool. I wasn't expecting to see her since I really thought she'd be pursuing her dreams in arts but I guess she just doesn't want to ???
That aside, I didn't know she'd be interviewing me holy shit. I'm scared but I can't afford to be a coward. Gotta man up, gotta find a job.
If I don't, I'd have to listen to her nagging again.
I'm doing this for Joseph. Joseph only.
The interview went smoothly. After we were done, she asked the other 3 interviewers to leave, leaving both of us alone in the room together
That's when my panic attack kicked in
"Odd to see you in my family's company when you have yours. Did something bad happened ?" she asked which surprised me
I mean, she has always been direct butI didn't expect THIS kind of question
I can't tell her about Jessica.
"Well, I just decided to work here since it's nearby my neighbourhood. My parents' company's a bit far away from here" I answered calmly despite NOT being calm inside
I can't tell her what happened, she'll worry more and the chances of me getting in here would be hard...
"Ah, that's a relief" she smiled
"So you're married ?" she asked
"Yeah, I have a son as well" I replied
"Oh that's nice ! I have a daughter of my own too" she grins while bringing up her daughter
She's married ?
"W-wait, you're married as well ?" I asked
She stared at me blankly for a bit
What the hell Joshua ? Of course she is ! She's already 28, there's no way a beauty like her isn't married yet
She pursed her lips as a sad smile formed onto her lips
"Maybe we'll talk about that later. I have a meeting to attend. I'll see you in the office if your application got approved" said Sophia as she escorted me out of the room and left me
That look on her face...
Something is wrong...
Could it be that she's facing the same fate as me ??
