Five minutes
Five minutes until it starts.
Five minutes until he meets the world.
Five minutes until everyone pays for what he had gone through.
Five minutes until they finally understand.
Surely, they're laughing at him. Right now. They're mocking him. Planning on how to best torment him next. But in five minutes, that'll stop.
Four minutes

In four minutes, they'll all see him.

Two minutes
The broadcast will start in two minutes
This is it. In two minutes, surely this will make him happy.
One minute

Ten
"It has to."
Nine
"No."
Eight
"No, this isn't right."
Seven
"There's so many people who don't deserve it."
Six
"How can I face anyone again if I do this?"
Five
"I can't do this."
Four
"I won't do this."
Three
"I'm turning it off."
Two
"Why won't it turn off?"
One
"WHY WON'T IT TURN-"
A surge of light filled the room. He felt himself choking on static.
