"Why do you hug them? Don't you think that's odd?" a message from an unregistered number.

I was hugging my friends before saying goodbye and that's when my iPhone rang on my chest pocket

What t-? I don't remember giving anyone my phone number since I don't wanna be bothered by anyone, so who tf is this? I felt like my privacy has been invaded with, I don't let anyone borrow my phone since I wanna keep things on private. Now I really know someone's stalking me.

"I'm sorry, but who's this?" I replied to the anonymous number.

"Just answer the question."

I looked outside the lobby but there was no one, I turned by back and went inside the room but there is only the three of us, Johann, Echo, and Me. I'm trying not to freak out, but I am also pissed like, who tf is this person texting me and why? I need to know. I'm pretty sure I didn't give my number to these two since none of them asked. The three of us walked to the university's Long Cafeteria to have Echo refill his tumbler and Jho can help herself with some egg waffles. I'm still in question as to who this mystery person is, I know nothing about him or her or whoever is behind this anonymous number suddenly I received a messenger chat notification: it's from Tong.

"Ponce, are you home yet?"

"Uhm... no, I'm still at the campus cafe. You?"

"Nope, not yet I'm at UZ, I'm going to meet my sister."

"Oh? You have a sister?

"Hahaha. lol. Who are you with?"

"I'm with Jho and Echo."

"M'kay, be careful. Gotta go now, talk later."

"Why are you asking?"

I sat myself at the cafe's bench and Johann is heading towards me with two waffle cups on her hands and I didn't notice Echo has been watching me for a minute now. I looked at them coldly.

"So, who's that?" Jho asked

"Is that your girlfriend? What's her name again? Jenny, was it?" Echo continued interrupting.

"Who's what?" I responded in blue until I snapped back.

"Oh, uh... no one, just a notification from Facebook about some random post." I lied in my lips.

"So... what do you guys wanna do now? Are we gonna sleep here or what?" Jho uttered with mouths full of egg waffles.

"Finish eating and then we'll go."

We left the canteen and went to the bus stop just outside the university campus. There we saw our classmate Ronnie smoking under an oak tree. He and Echo are close, well, given the fact that Echo is way too friendly than he looks like. Ronnie rode with us. Everyone is dead silent, and the bus took off. While passing through the boulevard, by the seaside I stared at the setting sun mesmerized by the golden shade fading to orange to pink that ends in a purple-indigo color. The thoughts came back to me, who texted me? How did that person have my number? My phone rang from my breast pocket. It's a text message from that same number.

"Take care."

This is weird, what could anyone see something from me? I'm just an ordinary guy and now I am being stalked. This is absurd not only by the fact that I'm neither known nor famous.

It's absurd.

It's nonsense.

The bus came to a stop and Jho must go separate ways so it's just me and Echo. We left the bus and walked ourselves through the city. Towering buildings, neon lights, gigantic billboards and vibrant LED walls are illuminating the pavements as we walk, the sepia street lights and glass walls displaying some in-trend chic fashion that Echo calls "absurd" and cruel to both the animal's lives and nature. I can't counter his thoughts since he mostly knows what he's talking about, and he's got some irrefutable points of argument.
