He looked out the nursery,his brother next to him,he then looked back at his mother who was crying in her nest.ginger kit ran over to maple'kit who looked sad,sitting in the middle of the clearing, "what's wrong mama?" he walked closer to her, "why are you crying?" he tilted his head, "its petal kit,sh-shes dead" he pinned his ears back,looking around the nursery before turning back to gingerkit and maple'kit "what's wrong?" Gingerkit asked maplekit "what happened?" He titled his head "my mom left me to become a rogue" maple'kit mumbled, "its okay! Sun'flower will take care of you" he smiled "yeah! I'm sure she will" ginger'kit agreed, "I know but- it hurts to know that my mom left me to become a rogue because I was too annoying" maple'kit began to cry,he moved closer to her, "I'm sure she didn't hate you" gingerkit tried to make her feel better but it's didn't work, "then why would she leave? How about we go ask cottoncloud since they both got in a fight,then went hunting together" maple'kit stood up,walking to cottoncloud and tugging her tail. Cottoncloud growled as she looked down at the kits "what do you want?" She groaned "we want to know why brindlefire left" he smiled,sitting down "she became a rogue because she hated maple'kit,so I treated her like one" cottoncloud made a slashing motion in the air "you killed her?" He titled his head," yes,got a problem with it?" She hissed "n-no" he shuffled back a bit "good,now let's keep this a secret between me and you kits?" She whispered,sitting back down,maple'kit slowly nodded,slighting scared of the she "okay" gingerkit whispered "do you wanna play a game?" Cottoncloud asked,pulling a feather form under her nest "yeah!" Shouted ginger kit,jumping up excitedly "mhm!" Maple'kit purred,jumping up and down,he nodded "what's the game?" He asked "I throw the feather and you catch it" Cottoncloud threw the feather in the air and waited for the kits to catch it,gingerkit pounced up but missed,then him and maple'kit both jumped up,he clawed the feather,grabbing it " I did it!" He purred,hitting the feather back,Cottoncloud caught the feather and threw it again,he jumped up but slipped back,hitting his head on a small rock "are you okay?" Gingerkit asked as maplekit ran over,before he could reply cottoncloud had already Gordon him to the medicine den. He watched the entrance as his mother burst in "is he okay!?!" She hissed "he'll be fine,it's a small cut he'll be better soon" the medicine cat said calmly,placing some herbs on the small cut,he flinched "oww" he mumbled "sorry" replied the medicine cat, maplekit poked his head "does this hurt" she did it again "yessss could you not" he pinned his ears back "how badly does a cut like that hurt?" Asked maplekit "not much,it's more of a slice than a cut" oak'step replied "will he still be able to play?" Asked maplekit "depends if he wants to or not" oak'step yawned,sitting down "okay" maplekit smiled
