Chapter 4 - So, This Is Ice Cream

Keith and Jim were still a bit confused and overwhelmed by Y/N. There were so many new impressions on this planet called Earth, and this caused their partly weird behavior.

Keith came closer to Y/N.

Y/N was not afraid, as you had the knowledge that the two wolves from outer space would not cause any harm or bring you in danger ever. They seemed to be such friendly creatures, and they were.

So, Keith came closer, especially with his nose as he seemed to try to smell you?

Y/N was a bit confused by this action of the wolf.

Now, Jim came closer too and tried to keep Keith away from you as he tried to smell you. Jim tried to pull Keith on the sleeve of his suit, but he would not have success.

„What are you doing, Keith?", asked Jim.

„This human being smells like bananas.", answered Keith as he turned his face into the direction of Jim.

„It does not matter. I am pretty sure what you're doing is rude behavior to human beings!"

„We could ask."

Keith pointed his fingers into the direction of their translator to submit his thoughts through him.

The translator received Keith's thoughts and said: „Keith said you smell like bananas."

Y/N laughed. What was this situation even about? Two crazy wolves from space who apparently travelled through the whole galaxy to find their obsession with a fruit on Earth? It was unbelievable.

„So, is that a problem? Do you dislike the smell of bananas?", Y/N asked.

And again, Keith sent his thoughts through the translator.

„Oh no, they really appreciate the smell and taste of bananas."

„I am relieved then. But wait. You mentioned the one who just came closer is called Keith, right? What is the name of you?", asked Y/N, looking at Jim.

Jim just looked at the translator, who said: „His name is Jim, and he is very pleased to meet you."

„I am also pleased to meet you two.", Y/N said.

Keith finally stepped away from you, starting to behave more normal again, even if that actually seemed to bore him.

„I actually have many questions, but you two still seem to be hungry. Should we grab some food?", Y/N asked.

Keith and Jim both put their thumbs up in the air to signal that this was a great idea. 

„Just follow me.", Y/N said.

So, Y/N, Keith, Jim and the translator started their way to a different direction, more into the center of Oslo to grab some food. Keith and Jim were walking behind you. Suddenly, a figure appeared next to Y/N. It was DJ Astronaut.

„I already was wondering where he had been.", Jim said.

„Wow, and who are you?", Y/N asked with a tone of surprise in your voice.

This time, DJ Astronaut made the weird move with his fingers to transfer his thoughts through the translator, and the translator said: „His name is DJ Astronaut. He met Keith and Jim in space."

„Okay, an astronaut. This is pretty cool. I have never met an astronaut. But I always wanted to meet one.", Y/N said, excited.

Keith stepped faster - what was actually pretty hard from him as he still needed to get used to the hard gravity on Earth - to walk next to you. He sent his thoughts through the translator again.

„Keith said he bet you also never met yellow extraterrestrial wolves from the moon either. The chances to meet any astronaut on Earth a pretty high, but the chance to meet an alien wolf a pretty low until now."

Y/N laughed.

„This is correct, definitely. But I also never expected to meet some alien wolves from outer space.", Y/N answered.

Y/N and your companions did not have any specific goal where to go as you walked through the downtown of Oslo. Suddenly, Jim and Keith stopped. They pointed at a special shop at the same time. It was a shop which was selling ice cream.

„This looks fantastic. What is this?", the translator asked for Jim and Keith.

You stopped and looked at the two wolves, which were completely focused on the ice cream store. They looked like they would analyze some very difficult tasks from Mathematics. Keith and Jim bowed their heads like a dog looking at dinner.

„Oh, this is called an ice cream store. They sell ice cream. Ice cream is basically frozen water with sugar and some other ingredients. It is very sweet and tasty. I bet when you like bananas, you probably also will like ice cream. We should try it.", Y/N said. 

Jim and Keith seemed to be very excited about your idea as they ran into the store. The guy who sold ice cream looked very confused as two yellow wolves in suits entered their store, looking at all the different ice cream flavors. But he was not anxious though.

„Which flavor would you like to try?", Y/N asked, even if the answer was obvious. Y/N realized the answer to your question before Keith and Jim could contact their translator.

„Ice cream with banana flavor, five times, please.", Y/N ordered the ice cream.

The seller in the store filled the banana ice cream into an ice cream cone five times.

Two happy wolves, a happy astronaut and a confused but happy translator left the name as you followed them. You all got them an ice cream cone with banana flavored ice cream, and everyone was so happy and excited about it.

Jim looked at the ice cream like it was from another planet - and it was. He looked at it like he wanted to do some scientifically research on it. Then, he sent some signals to their translator and the translator asked for Jim: „I do not get it. Why would you freeze water and eat it if you sail with ships on water at the same time?"

Y/N needed to think about the answer for a few seconds.

„This is a different kind of water. We added sugar to it, and it is really tasty. Just try it.", as you started to lick your ice cream.

Keith just ate the ice cream at once - surprised about how cold it actually was. He just thought that „frozen" was just a metaphor of something else, but it was actually frozen and cold. He liked it.

Y/N laughed.

„Nooo. You need to lick it."

Jim did it in the correct way.

Keith was already bored as he sent signals to his translator who was asking: „So, what are we going to do next?"

Y/N started to think about this question.
