I Wolf You

Chapter 08 - Where did he go?

When Y/N went to bed, the moon was covered by all the milky clouds who surrounded the light ball. The wolf was still snoring on the floor and so, Y/N finally closed the eyes and also felt asleep. Y/N last thoughts before drifting away to the land of dreams was that the wolf would not have to sleep on the floor. Of course, Y/N was very friendly to the guests and Y/N would not mind sharing a bed with one of two friendly alien wolves.

In the morning, as the lights of the sun drifted into the room of Y/N as the curtains were not closed, Y/N woke up and noticed something next to her. It was not only the pillow. Also, Y/N was not able to move as something kind of caught her. A wolf creature was lying next to Y/N and hugged her tight, looking so comfortable. The wolf had Y/N in his arms so tight with the arms wrapped around Y/N very highly, so Y/N was not able to move. But Y/N did not mind it at all. It was a very close moment. With his snout, he snuggled up to the back of Y/N.

Y/N was not sure about how to behave or react. The wolf was not lying on the floor anymore. When did he join Y/N in the bed?

„Good morning, Jim.", said Y/N, feeling very comfortable during the hug while Jim snuggled onto Y/N.

Jim did not answer, he was too busy with hugging.

„Did you sleep well?", Y/N asked.

„Much better than in the spaceship, thank you.", Jim mumbled.

Y/N turned around and looked right in the face of Jim. He was lying there, looked so comfortable and satisfied. Much better than last night while he was crying. Y/N smiled at Jim, who still had his hands wrapped around Y/N.

„Do you think we should-?", started Jim as the door opened with a loud slam and Keith stepped in.

„What is going on here?", Keith asked while he looked around confused. 

Y/N turned around to the door frame.

Keith walked into the room and took place on the corner of the bed.

„So, you are cuddling without me, brother? I understand that.", Keith said while he made a cool move with his hand to signal it would not bother him. But did it really not bother him? Y/N cuddling alone with Jim?

Jim looked at Y/N, Keith looked at Y/N and the look of the eyes of Y/N switched between them.

„You also can come here, Keith.", Y/N said.

Jim and Y/N both expected Keith to join now, but Keith just made a sassy movement with his hand to signal he was apparently not interested in cuddling anymore. Why? Jim did not understand that too.

„Nah, I need to grab some food.", said Keith.

The cuddle session of Y/N and Jim ended faster than expected. Jim carefully ended the hug and got out of bed to go after his brother. Y/N felt kind of sad that the cuddle session was over so fast, as this was a very special and intense moment. But probably there would be more cuddle sessions? Y/N hoped so.

Y/N followed Jim, who looked for Keith in the living room. But he was not there? Where did he go? Y/N and Jim took a look into the kitchen where was some food, but Keith was also not there.

Where did he go?

Then, Y/N realized that the front door of the apartment was open widely.

Keith probably left. But where did he go? There was enough food at home, so grabbing some food could not be the reason, obviously.

Y/N took on some more daily clothes to look for Keith after he apparently vanished.

So, Jim and Y/N went outside to look for Keith. It was cold outside. Y/N closed the door behind Jim. It was drizzling slightly, and the clouds covered the sun. It was a cold and kind of uncomfortable day today. But Jim's company made everything comfortable again. Still, Y/N had to think about the cuddle session this morning and wished it would last forever. 

Y/N and Jim walked down the street to look for Keith, but they did not see him anywhere. They even looked behind bushes and trees, but there was no sign of Keith. Maybe he did return to their spaceship to join DJ Astronaut? Probably not. Maybe he was in anger because Jim and Y/N had an all alone cuddle session where Keith was kind of excluded? Probably not. So, the search continued.

After a while, Jim and Y/N reached a small park where were some bark benches, but due to the bad weather no other human beings were there. Only the soft rustling of the wind could be heard, while the rain felt down to the surface of the Earth. But when Y/N listened closely, there was a voice. It sounded excited, but also very impatient. Was that Keith's voice?

„Do you hear that too?", Y/N asked.

Jim nodded.

Y/N and Jim walked down a bit until they reached a different spot in the park. And then, they saw it. It was Keith, wet by the rain. It looked like Keith was chasing after something. Something that looked like an animal. It apparently was a squirrel, and Keith tried to chase and catch it.

Y/N and Jim just looked at the bizarre scene of Keith trying to catch an animal on Earth. Because of the gravity, it was extra hard for Keith to get after the squirrel and to catch it. Not only was it difficult due to the heavy gravity, it was almost impossible because the squirrel was so much faster than Keith. But Keith did not show any signs of giving up. He wanted to catch that squirrel very badly. So, Keith chased the squirrel until the squirrel climbed up on a tree and did not make any moves to come down again.

Keith just stood in front of the high tee, watching the movements of the squirrel, which balanced itself on the branches of the tree elegantly. Keith was not sure about what to do next as he was not successful catching the squirrel.

He turned around and saw Y/N and Jim. At least, he did not seem angry in any way. Maybe he was a bit angry that he could not catch the squirrel.

„What are you doing there?", Y/N asked.

„I tried to catch this little thing.", Keith answered.

„This little thing is called a squirrel and why would you like to catch it?", Y/N asked.

„I need it.", Keith just said.

Y/N laughed. Keith apparently needed a squirrel.

„You can try to catch it at another time. We should leave. Today is not a good squirrel catching weather.", Jim said to his brother.

Keith seemed to be disappointed, but he also understood. He followed Jim and Y/N back to the house as the weather became even more bad. Heavy rain crackled down to the Earth, which was cold and partly frozen.

There was a storm coming up.
