I'd Be a Fearless Leader, I'd Be an Alpha Type

I hear his alarm go off way too early for my liking. I groan. "Seriously Steve? 4 am?" I groan before letting out a squeal as he pulls me underneath him and spreads my legs with his knees. I can feel his hard length against my leg as he teases my folds, moaning slightly at the wetness that's started to form there. "Steve," I moan out. "I need you."

He slides into me and we both moan as he bottoms out. Our coupling is quick. In the months since we were married he's gotten to know my body intimately, and he used that to his advantage. I was soon a puddle of whines and moans as I felt my orgasm grow and grow until the flood gates open and I cum around him. His movements become more erratic until he came just as hard as I did.

He flops down on the bed beside me as we catch our breaths. After several minutes he rolls over and swings his legs off the bed. I groan. "Seriously? After that, you still expect me to run?" I whine.

He has the audacity to laugh. "Let's go, Lady Liberty."

I make a face. "God, I can't believe that stuck." I grumble as I throw the covers off of me and make a big show about getting up, slamming drawers as I got my running shorts and a sports bra out. I get dressed, throwing my hair up into a high pony before going to grab my running shoes.

"You can't go out looking like that and expect me not to want to take you again." He whispers in my ear as he grabs my hips and grinds into my ass.

"Well, you're the one that has the early morning wake up call. You can blame yourself." I say as I sit down on the arm of our couch to put my shoes on. When we're both ready to go, we exit our apartment, locking up behind us. Our neighbor was just getting back from her shift at the hospital. We waved a brief hello and as soon as we were clear of the building, we took off. "First one to t gets to pick what we eat tonight." I say before taking off.

"No flying!" He yells as he starts catching up to me.

"I don't need to fly to beat you." I yell back. It was just before dawn so we had pretty much the whole place to ourselves. There was one other jogger there. As I was approaching, I made sure to warn him. "On your left." I say just loud enough for him to hear. I chuckle as I hear Steve say the same. We take another lap and we pass him again. "On your left." I say again.

"Uh-huh. On my left. Got it." He says.

Another lap and we're running up on him again, alongside the Reflecting Pool. "Don't say it. Don't you say it."

"On your left." Steve says as we pass him.

"Come on!" He yells and I hear him run faster to try and catch us.

"Was that really necessary?" I ask while laughing as we come to a stop, stretching our legs out a little.

"Hey, gotta get some enjoyment out of this." He jokes back. We watch the other man flop down against a tree, holding his side. Steve takes my hand as we walk over to him. "Need a medic?" Steve asks.

He laughs. "I need a new set of lungs. Dude, you both just ran, like, 13 miles in 30 minutes." He says, breathing heavy.

"I guess we got a late start." Steve says, hands on his hips.

"Really? Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. You should go take another lap." I smile before taking off, flying around our running route before coming back in for a landing. "She just took it. Did you? I assume you just took it."

Steve notices the military shirt he's wearing. "What unit you with?" He asks.

"58th Pararescue. But now I'm working down at the VA." He reaches up a hand in greeting. "Sam Wilson." He says while Steve takes his hand and helps him up.

"Steve and Eleanor Rogers."

"I kind of put that together. Must have freaked you out, coming home after the whole defrosting thing. And they never did release how you're here." Sam adds, looking over to me.

"Don't play with rocks from outer space." I say cryptically.

"It takes some getting used to." Steve answers honestly. "It's easier, having Ellie but..." he stops short and I know exactly what he was thinking. It wasn't necessarily the time we found ourselves in, it was the lack of everyone we knew and loved. "It's good to meet you Sam." He says before turning away.

"It's your bed, right?" Sam asks.

"What's that?" Steve asks, turning us back.

"Your bed, it's too soft. When I was over there, I'd sleep on the ground, use rock for pillows, like a caveman. Now I'm home, lying in my bed, and it's like..."

"Lying on a marshmallow." Steve finishes. I look at him, concerned. He hasn't mentioned any of this to me. "Feel like I'm gonna sink right to the floor. How long?"

"Two tours. You must miss the good old days, huh?" Sam asks us.

I laugh unironically. "There's a few things I miss, my family being the biggest. But I have to say, the advancements in women's rights is something that I find very refreshing." I answer honestly.

They both nod. "You think she's outspoken now. Imagine this in the 40s. She was something to witness even then." Steve says fondly. "Well, things aren't so bad. Food's a lot better. We used to boil everything. No polio is good."

"Really any diseases that have been eradicated in the last 70 years." I add.

"Internet, so helpful." Steve says, and I blush. I had gotten frustrated with the computer Tony had insisted on sending us as a wedding present that I blasted a hole through the monitor. "I've been reading that a lot, trying to catch up."

Sam smiles. "Marvin Gaye, 1972, Trouble Man soundtrack. Everything you both missed, jammed into one album." I watch as Steve pulls out the small notebook he keeps with him at all time, opening it up to the current page he was writing on.

"I'll put it on the list." Steve says before writing it down. Our phones go off then, Natasha telling us that we had a mission and would be there to pick us up in a moment.

"Alright Sam, duty calls. Thanks for the run. If that's what you want to call running." Steve says, shaking his hand.

"Oh, that's how it is?"

"Oh, that's how it is."

"Ok." They both laugh. "Any time you want to stop by the VA, make me look awesome in front of the girl at the front desk, just let me know. You too Eleanor." He says.

"Please, you can call me Ellie." I say back to him with a smile. "And we definitely will." Natasha pulls up to the curb in her black Corvette and rolls down the window.

"Hey guys. Either one of you know where the Smithsonian is? I'm here to pick up a couple of fossils."

"You're hilarious." Steve and I say. I slide in the back, able to scrunch up my legs better than Steve.

"How you doing?" Sam asks Nat.

"Hey." She says back.

"Can't run everywhere." Steve explains.

"No you can't." Sam says before Nat rolls the window back up and drives off, weaving through traffic as we left Sam behind.
