𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗲𝘀 || 𝗘𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘅 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿

𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖕𝖙𝖊𝖗 1: 𝖍𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖋𝖎𝖗𝖊 𝖈𝖑𝖚𝖇

Today was moving day, I obviously didn't want to move but if it made my Dad better then I'd do it. He wants a fresh start, new job all that crap and I suppose all I have to do is go to a new school.. how bad can it be. Yes, we may be moving into a trailer but it's something and it may be nice!

We pull up to our new place and Dad is already moving big boxes in, he's rushing for no reason as per usual. I open my room door and start getting boxes full of my stuff and carry them in, some of them are heavy as hell and I struggle to lift them in but I make it and soon enough i'm sitting in my bed with boxes crowding the place. I walk out to see my Dad opening a beer and sitting in the sofa, it's already started so much for a fresh start, I walk out to the porch and sit on the step pulling out a cigarette and my lighter. Just as I need this old thing to work, all my lighter does is let out sparks, no flame just sparks.. great.

"Need some help?" I hear a voice gradually get louder as someone walks towards me
"Here" A boy with long fluffy brown stands in front of me and tosses me a lighter

"Thank you" I light my cig, stand up and pass it back it him "You live round here?"

"Yeah, it's seems i'm your new neighbour" The boys chuckles and his smile make me all giddy and gives me butterflies "I'm Eddie. Eddie Munson" He sticks out his hands and I shake it

"I'm Y/n. Y/n Y/l/n" I smile, at least I know someone now maybe he goes to my new school

"Well suppose i'll see you later then neighbour" He chuckles turning round and walking to his trailer

"Bye neighbour!" I laugh and throw my cigarette but onto the floor and step on it to make sure it's out before walking back in.

I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock and look around, I managed to get quite a few boxes unpacked yesterday there's only two left. I drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom looking at myself in the dusty mirror, god this place needs a clean. I get ready for the day and walk into the living room to see beer bottle scattered around the coffee table and the ashtray full of cig butts, I give it all a small clean up and check the clock. Great I'm late on the first day, I knock on Dads door and say bye then leave and to my surprise I see my new neighbour.

"Hey neighbour" I wave at him as he stops and waits for me at the top of the road "You know, I'm starting to think you're stalking me" We laugh and carry on walking

"I could say the same thing Y/n" He looks down to me and laughs "You going to Hawkins High?"

"Yup, you go there?" I ask hoping he does so I know someone in that place

"Yeah, you probs won't see me though" He walks ahead a little and does a spin "Or you'll see me a lot, I'm the schools freak" he bows and sticks a hand out

"Well I suppose we will be the school freaks together" I giggle and curtsy taking his hand and walking forwards with him. I look down and see him gently holding my hand as we walk and look back up to his face which has a smirk plastered on it "Real smooth play boy"
We laugh and realised we have reached the school.

"Well I'll see you around Y/n Y/l/n" He smiles while patting my head

"Bye bye Eddie Munson" He laughs and we part ways, I hope they don't care and like 20mins late. It's my first day they can't blame me

I get home from school and see a note on the fridge 'Gon' out, money on side for pizza -Dad' Oh nice he actually left the house today? I turn on the radio and look out the window, I haven't seen Eddie in a while to be honest, oh well i'm sure i'll see him again seeing as he lives next to me-

Hours pass by and I've ordered pizza and now i'm outside smoking waiting for it to turn up, I see another one of my neighbours Max across the street feeding a dog, she goes to my school but she's younger then me so I don't see her a lot. Loud rock music grows louder and I soon hear a car approaching,

I look over to see Eddie getting out his mini van, just as I was about to say hi I see a girl (one of the school cheerleaders) get out too and they walk into his trailer. Well, that's a bummer.

My pizza arrives and I go inside and eat but I still can't help but wonder what is going on, whether it is just a drug deal or if their hooking up either way I shouldn't care. I finish my food and throw it in the trash and go to pick up empty bottles I saw on the porch from Dad, jeez this man knows how to drink a lot and make a mes-

My attention suddenly switches as I look over to see the lights in Eddies trailer flickering fast, broken bulb maybe? God who knows what he's up to, I just need to sleep.
