"Are we almost there?" nakangiti kong tanong, ang aking kamay ay mahigpit na nakakapit sa kanya.

His playful laughter reverberate in my ears. "Not yet, sweetie; if we continue to walk at our current pace, we'll be there in ten minutes."

"Ten minutes?!" tumaas ang boses ko. "It must be quite a far away. What can I do? My legs are too tired to even take a step," pag-arte ko.

Naramdaman kong lumakad siya sa aking harapan at inilagay ang dalawa kong kamay sa kanyang malapad na balikat. I was shocked at how quickly he understood what I wanted him to do for me. This man is raising my standard so high!

He said in his bedroom voice, "Come on, sweetheart. Hop into my back and I'll carry you."

Kinagat ko ang ibaba kong labi, pinipigilan ang pagngiti. "No need, papi. I think we can get there quickly if I just walk."

"Don't be shy, sweetheart. If you're worried about your weight, you shouldn't be. You've already ridden me, right?" pang-aasar niya kaya ko siya hinampas.

"Clara?!" sabay na sigaw nila Rick at Belle mula sa aking spy earpiece na agad ko ring pinahinto.

My words boomed down the corridor. "How could you say that directly? Simply to let you know, I won't r-ride you by my own unless you specifically request it! I was just... w-wasted that night."

"Really?" paghahamon niya. "I don't believe you're still drunk during our second round, sweetheart."

"You know what? Maybe instead of going with you, I should just go back to the banquet," bago ko pa man matanggal ang piring sa aking mata ay niyakap niya na ako.

"I'm sorry, my sweetheart," he said, his face pressed against my neck. "Please share your night with me, okay? I promise not to irritate you any further."

"Promise?" I pouted.

Shortly thereafter, he kissed my lips. "Promise, and now ride me–I mean, on my back so we can get there in a few minutes."

Imbes na makipagtalo muli ay sinunod ko na lamang siya. Inalalayan niya akong sumakay sa kanyang likod nang may buong pag-iingat. My hands were locked around his neck, and he was carrying my legs to keep me from falling.

Being held in this manner reminds me of how Callum, my twin brother, used to carry me when we were younger. My mother would leave us alone in the home after she cooked us breakfast, and we'd sneak out to play on the local playground while Callum carried me on his back.

"Clara," He called my name! "Are you crying?"

Tumigil ako sa paghikbi. "D-did you call me Clara? How did you figure out my real name?"

He slowed down. "You said your real name because your tongue slipped due to alcohol when we made love. W-why? You can't... remember?"

"Yeah," hindi ko talaga maalala.

"Don't worry, I'll call you by your true name just when we're alone like–"
