their name is Flint and they may have a collection of Pokémon they've saved from underground fight clubs (just remembered Detective Pikachu exists, so I guess it's kind of like that one lmao). Most of the time they simply hand them off to Daycares or other trainers (or if they get lucky and manage to smuggle away an egg or something very low-level, some random kid who will end up with a perfect IV Pokémon), but he decided to keep a Toxicroak and a Nidoking, a pair made specifically for double battles (as they were metaphorically glued to each other), a Gliscor, and a Reuniclus. Flint is also a skeleton, because I can't draw actual people for the life of me 💀
But yea, with Flint's mildly intimidating appearance and "resting bitch face", they can easily get into the clubs and swap a few Pokémon out. Many in the illegal battling community have been incredibly confused (and promptly disqualified) when they'd sent out a Clefairy Pokétoy instead of one of their prized, overpowered, bred-to-perfection Pokémon.
Their collection/"giveaways" also include a couple shinies, but most of them have been from eggs that they've accidentally hatched or swapping and not realizing the odd coloring of the Pokémon inside (because I like to think Pokéballs are translucent at the top instead of just red)
But yea, their team now consists of Gliscor, Nidoking, Toxicroak, Leavanny (one they actually did catch by themselves as a kid when it was just a Sewaddle), and Reuniclus.
In terms of natures and whatnot, here is the list: Gliscor (Bruce, ♂️), Jolly (+Speed -Sp. Atk), Sand Veil Nidoking (Duke), Adamant (+Atk -Sp. Atk), Poison Point Toxicroak (Dart, ♂️), Quirky (neutral), Dry Skin Leavanny (Bullet, ♀️), Bashful (neutral), Chlorophyll Reuniclus (Gurdy, ♀️), Modest (+Sp. Atk -Atk), Magic Guard (Movesets will be added at some point)
But yea, Bruce and Gurdy were best friends at first sight because they kinda just. knew. that they'd both gone through some shit. and then they bonded over that
Dart and Duke have generally more of a Kross-esque dynamic, if yk what I mean. like Duke: "you're a dumbass" Dart: "learned it from the best" but in Pokémon form ig.
And then Bullet and Flint just like to hang out with each other, mostly because Bullet is their partner Pokémon and they both love to help get others out of the illegal battle system. In short, they both have a rather aggressive sense of justice, but in a good aggressive way.
I probably shouldn't ramble about all of them for much longer, but mark my words, you WILL be hearing more about them in the near future 💫
