And I need a lil warmth
A gentle caress of the wind
But all that stretches along is sand
Directionless, stranded
Daunting are these dunes:
Cruel, unforgiving
And a lingering gentle moon-so
Gentle bearing witness to my solitude
Ready to consume me, awaiting my fall
Careful, I'm already burnt
Yet to fully heal, can't take the heat
Yet to be surpass the singularity of a mangled tissue;
more human, less scar
So please...spare me a little warmth
Nothing too grandiose, purely the amount required for sustenance
Purely the dosage to restore hope
Just enough to make me believe
