Those words kept repeating in his head. Again and Again. He felt as if the ground slipped from right under his feet.
He stumbled back and knocked a vase off of the table.
His heart and his brain could not digest that his sweet, innocent wife was pregnant. At first, all he felt was anguish. However, as he thought more about the situation he could see red. Slowly the anger turned to resent.
He resented his wife for being pregnant.
All he wanted to do was hurt her more than she had hurt him.
He wanted to break her slowly.
Piece by piece.
Inch by inch.
He wanted her to suffer.
He wanted her, on her knees, begging and crying for mercy.
He wanted REVENGE.
