Chapter 3: Island of Night Furies

[From the point of view, Snotlout opens his eyes to see a ceiling in front of him.]

Snnotlout's parents sighed in relief seeing their son okay.

[He then turned to his left when he sees a black baby dragon staring at him.]

This scene causes the dragon slayers to scream in fright.

Snotlout: Why is there a dragon with me?!

[This is a cue for Snotlout to scream causing the birds and small dragons to fly away.]

Ruffnut and Tuffnut laughed at his scream while the said lad glared at them.

Snotlout: Hey, shut your trap!

[Snotlout grabs a candlestick from the nightstand ready to aim at a dragon when the door opened revealing a lad who is older than him carrying a tray with a glass of water and medicine. His hair is raven black and his bangs covered his eyes, he is wearing black wristbands, a white sleeveless top, black pants, and maroon boots.]

Fishlegs: Who's that?

Ruffnut: Who cares? He's kinda cute.

Tuffnut: What is wrong with you?

Charlie: Norry! Get out of here!

[The said dragon then flew out of the room as Charlie sighs.]

Bucket: Did that man just tell the dragon to leave?

Mulch: It seems so.

Gobber: But why?

[Snotlout sat back on the bed as he placed back the candlestick while Charlie placed the tray.]

Charlie: Sorry about that if that shocks you.

Snotlout: It's alright. It got out anyway.

[Snotlout grabs one of the medicines and swallows it before consuming the water.]

Charlie: How are you feeling?

Snotlout: A little uneasy from drowning. By the way, who are you?

Charlie: The name's Charlie, Charlie Cohen.

Bertha: What a nice name, don't you think?

Camicazi agreed.

Snotlout: Where am I anyway?

Charlie: You are in a Dragon Tribe, Night Fury Island.

Everyone: NIGHT FURY ISLAND?!?!?!

Grimmel gritted his teeth because the Night Furies are still alive.

Ryker: I thought that all of them were extinct!

Viggo: It seems that someone brought them back from that, which is, a disliked idea for Grimmel here.

Snotlout: Is that why there's a baby dragon in this room?

Charlie: You could say that. Night Furies can sometimes be curious about their surroundings. Oh, and if you're looking for your friends, they're ok being shown around the island.

[Snotlout then stands up.]

Snotlout: Can I get out now?

Charlie: Of course. Come, I'll show you around.

[Charlie then opens the door to reveal the beautiful surroundings. Night Furies roam freely, villagers are walking like nothing bad happens, and workers work hard without needing help from dragons.]

Everyone is amazed by the beautiful village, even Fishlegs squealed in excitement.

Charlie: Come one, lad. Let's head down to the great hall.

[Snotlout then follows Charlie as they make their way through the village.]

Snotlout: Umm, Charlie?

Charlie: Yes?

Snotlout: Can I know why these dragons lived with you?

Sven: That's what I want to know for a while!

The Hairy Hooligans agreed.

Charlie: Well, you see, generations ago, before we were born, The lead ancestor, Nycto Rider Fury found this place while having an alliance with Hamish the second of Berk.

Stoick was surprised.

Stoick: Hamish the second was allied with their lead ancestor?

Charlie: They made sure they had a peace treaty when they discovered that the Night Furies are starting to become extinct at the hands of Dragon Slayers.

Grimmel growled for the Night Furies not to become extinct.

Charlie: This is why we give them freedom, we worship them like we worship God. This is also the reason why dragons came into existence as much as we are.

Mala smiled knowing that they were on the good side.

Snotlout: But, dragons are vicious beasts!

[Charlie grabs Snotlout by the neck before getting closer to his face.]

Snotlout's mother, Freya, screamed in horror when seeing her son being threatened while the said boy held his neck in fear.

Charlie: Listen here, you brat. We don't know why you Vikings don't understand, but you better keep your mouth shut before you are thrown off the cliff, got it?

[Snotlout frantically nodded and Charlie released him.]

Snotlout: This will traumatize my whole life.

Charlie scoffed when his partner nudged him in annoyance.

Charlie: Now, shall we proceed?

[They soon proceed to enter the great hall.]
