chapter 5: contracts

upon returning home i wrote letters to both the delacours and the greengrasses before turning to sirius

"did you get it" i asked he nodded presenting the document

"a waver allowing the undetectable extension charm be used on your case" he said though i'd be doing more then that much more

i cast the spell before casting several other spells i made the inside of the case it's own small world

it's also why i didn't bother with a trunk a normal suitcase would do fine

a few days later the delacours had responded to my letter or more accurately the letter was responded by fleur delacour herself

dear Mr. grindelwald

it is a pleasure to here from you and congratulations on your emancipation after looking over the laws i see no reason to cancel our contract and would prefer to meet you in person to discuss it before doing something so drastic however i am aware that meeting with the greengrass family would take precedence do to their contract being uncancellable so i shall wait for your letter indicating a time for which we may meet

"well she's adamant, and she doesn't even know me" i said reading over the letter once more i shook my head and picked up the letter from the greengrasses this one was from the greengrass head

dear Mr. grindelwald

i am pleased to have been contacted by you regarding this 'problem' shall we say do to you and our daughter being of age i feel and my wife and daughter agrees that perhaps our official meeting should be postponed until after your first year at hogwarts to allow for you and our daughter to get to know each other on a personal level if this is acceptable to you, do not bother to send a reply we will take your silence as agreement

well there is both of them taken care of i wrote a third letter back to the delacours inviting their family to castle potter which is where me and sirius were now living after we left grimmauld place

"and there's that business is concluded for the day" i said

"ah lucky you, i'm still writing letters to all of your blasted vassals" sirius said i chuckled at his misfortune

"sorry sirius" i said

"no your not" he grumbled

"your right i'm not" i said cheekily

that saturday i stood in front of the fireplace in the sitting room of the castle waiting for our guests to arrive as i watched the first step out a beautiful mature woman

"it is a pleasure madame delacour, welcome to potter castle" i said kissing her hand as was expected of me

next was the man

"a pleasure minister delacour" i said bowing he bowed back

then came my betrothed

"it is good to finally make your acquaintance miss delacour" i said as i kissed her hand as well she smiled and nodded

"as it is a pleasure to make yours lord grindelwald" she said finally a little girl joined us

"and this is our youngest gabrielle i hope you don't mind her joining us" joseph said

"of course not welcome to my home miss gabrielle" i said
