lunch and prom question

I was sitting with the cullens as Edward was listening in to bella and Mike's conversation
"He's asking her to prom" He growled

"Calm down Edward she will say no" I say

"How do you know"

"Because Jessica has a thing for him plus she isn't interested in him" I saw Edward shy off "awh Edward if you were a real boy you would be blushing" I say poking at his cheeks

Jasper and rosalie chuckled as emmet and alice were giggling (Yes emmet giggled)

"She said no" He said "and told him to ask out jessica"

"See" I say to everyone "it's like I'm the mind reader"

"Shut up" He said leaving

The next day we were on the bus getting ready for the trip.

"Where's Edward and Bella?" I ask

"Alice is going to get them they were in an argument I think" jasper said

"What makes you think it was an argument" I ask

"Well I feel both of their anger" He said

"Does that not like effect you? Like are you connected to their feelings in some way?"

"Hypothetically yes. I feel how they are feeling but only when I link to them" He said "So if you were feeling pain I would feel it is I thought of you"

"So you feel angry right now?"

"No because I'm not linked with them anymore" He said "I linked and then asked Alice to get them"

"Because you could sense their feelings"

"Exactly"

"Doesn't that drain you?"

"No but that's different because of what I am" He said implying he's a vampire

"But it should effect you in some way doesn't it?"

"I think the punishment is feeling crappy when they are Els"

"Okay" I say "I just move shit with my mind and I get nose bleeds" He laughs

"When you get stronger you will have them less"

"Could we practice when we get out?"

"Sure you'd nerd to go to ours though Carlisle is the expert not me" He explained

Everything he said was calm. He spoke calm he never tensed. Unless he already is tense. Be was a neutral side between the emotions. He never looked angry but he never looked happy unless he laughed.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked

"What?"

"You're confused and tense"

I feel a wave of relaxation "cut it with the feeling manipulation" I say "I was just wondering what decade each of you were from i think alice would suit 1920s or 30s"

"Alice was from the 1920s" He started "Carlisle was 1663, esme was 1920s, Edward was late 1910s, Rosalie was 1930s, emmet was 1935"

"Really I totally picture him in the 50s"

"I think everyone did" He said "and myself was 1863"

"Wow so you've seen a lot" I say

"Really? That's what you say? Not oh you've gotten no wrinkles at that age?" 

"Haha no I'm not that mean I was thinking it though" I say "but that's cool you guys got to see the world evolve into what if is now" I say

"We've also seen alot of hurt and broken our hearts alot" He said

"I thought there was like true love stuff when you are a vampire"

"Yeah but alice, Edward and myself haven't found ours or we have but can't or won't speak about it"

"I'm guessing that's Edward and bella"

"You would guess correct"

"So.... not saying I want to. But if I were to turn would I keep the powers I had?"

"We aren't sure" He answered "possibly but you could lose them because you essentially died"

"So dying is off the list" I joke

"I hope so" He said I giggled

"I don't plan on kicking the bucket that soon don't worry"

"Good because being a vampire in all of its coolness is also torture" He said I felt bad and put my hand on his arm trying to comfort him.

"So back to prom. Are you going?" I ask him

"Alice will drag me down there if she has to so yes" He said "are you?"

"Maybe" I say "like I said dresses aren't my thing so if I do it will probably be because Alice told me to go and well when she flips she's so scary" He chuckled

"You have a higher power than her yet you still are scared?"

"My power has limits because of my body" I say "she has healing and superstrength and speed. Yeah, no I stand no chance against a vampire yet"

"You can freeze them though"

"No long enough"
