Chapter 9~relief

Rahama walked in slowly into her father's parlor she didn't not once look at the people she kept looking at her hands like they were the most interesting thing to look at

she greeted all of them barely looking at them and she sat down on the carpet near her father her mother cane in a bit later to greet the guests as well

"She heard her father talking to her  " baby take Bilal to the next parlor you guys talk for a bit "

Rahama simply nodded and stood up she felt him behind her in the corridor as she made a turn and went into the other leaving room , she motioned for him to sit and she did the same refusing to even look at his direction she kept on fidgeting with her hand

Bilal was shocked and relieved at the same time when he saw her walk into the living room it was her , rahama his rahama the girl that had stolen his heart  the girl he thinks about every minute the girl he's been praying to have he felt the sudden urge to shout in happiness but he  maintained  his cool and smiled showing his white teeth he was happy words can't explain how he's feeling right now,

Her dad told them to wait in the other living room as they were right now,  she has not once looked up at him he then realized that she may not want this as well just like him  a few moments ago she was not happy with the alliance but he was ecstatic now he gathered the courage to say something she made him nervous his heart was hammering against his chest

"Uhm" he began "how is school ? " he asked her he noticed how she stiffened when he talked did he scare her ?

Didn't she recognize him from the hospital ? Well he couldn't say she didn't look at him yet

" alhamdulilah " she simply said in a low voice Bilal felt his heart flutter she was doing things to his heart by simply talking

" how old are you " he asked again as he cracked his fingers rahama frowned a bit didn't he know that already ?didn't he know everything about her ?didn't her father tell him ?

Questions filled her mind but she answered nonetheless " I'm 22 turning 23 this September

" oh "

" what course are you studying?"

" Law Nile university "

"Wby ? "She asked

" I'm Bilal but you may know that already "he continued

"I'm an architectural engineer i finished my degree 7 years ago ".  Rahama's eyes widened how old was this guy ? She thought he must be around 28 maybe

He noticed she was uncomfortable so he said " do you not want to marry me ?" He asked shifting in his chair as he gulped down the water that was brought to him earlier he watched her as she stiffened for a bit and then she moistened her lips and spoke

I want to " she said looking up to meet his eyes their eyes locked for a bit a sense of familiarity rushed in her eyes as she looked his eyes she's seen him before but she didn't know where she immediately dropped her gaze to her hands he should not see her checking him out he was hot but no

Of course she didn't want to marry him but she couldn't tell him that she was afraid of her father's anger

They chatted for 30 more minutes giving him cold replies as he kept on asking questions after questions this man was annoying her,  she was relieved when her father came  in and told them that he was leaving , he got up and left

Rahama immediately ran upstairs to her room she was feeling suffocated in this clothes she took them off and wiped of her make up she sat on the bed with a thud

Oh gosh why did he have to be good looking he was making it hard for her to hate him ugh she groaned and pulled a pillow to cover her face

"You're telling me she's engaged umma? " why wasn't I informed ? Her sister yelled she was feeling frustrated that no one told her about what was happening and a week has already gone by

" you weren't in the country now stop shouting and sit down " umma said motioning for her to sit she sat near umma  rahama simply watched them she had become a living corpse since her father told her that the wedding was now 3 months away and the daurin aure was on 1st August  she stood up as her mother and sister began planning her wedding she found baby fuad in the living room watching cartoons she layed  beside him and watched with him she sighed and blinked her tears away

Murja and fadila hugged thier friend they were sad and excited for their friend who was getting married soon

" oh my god maryam  we have to decide the ashoebi and tell our other friends

"No I'll only have 2 events that's the kamu and daurin aure it took a lot of convincing so don't make me change my mind " rahama said eating her burger

Murja pouted and  said " tell us about the groom "

" he's disgusting he looks like a pig and he's very short rahama  said chewing her food

Both her friends gasped

" I'm sure you're exaggerating I'm sure he's handsome " fadila said dreamily

" don't make me lose my appetite fadila you'll pay for my burger she warned her friend

Of course her husband to be was handsome but she wouldn't tell them that they would assume the wrong thing which she didn't want

They laughed and read after they were done eating
