you have been avoiding ace at all cost. he kept doing his routine on following you, but you couldn't stop thinking about him after that 'vacation'.
you told whitebeard about law and they told you about shanks. you were shocked and sad that you couldn't meet him. when you left he went to meet whitebeard for something.
you told your grandpa everything about the blackbeard incident. it turns out the marines took him, his crew and mai into impel down. you were laughing and enjoyed it. blackbeard is getting his execution though. it was like a replacement since that position was supposed to be ace.
you smiled and hang out with your family.
marco: why are you so happy yoi
thatch: it makes me itch and worried
"i'm not gonna do anything stupid fools! i'm an adult!"
marco: don't give me that crap yoi
ace: oi oi pineapple head, pops wants you
marco: WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME A PINEAPPLE HEAD TOO
"he been calling you that, get over it!"
marco was cursing to us and left with thatch. you were stuck with ace. you were gonna go with them too when ace grabbed by your wrist
ace: hey..stay with me
"no."
ace: come on, i haven't hanged out with you for so long
he made this cute face which made you wanna stay. you been getting tingles around him for a while now. your heart been beating every time you see ace but you try to ignore it.
ace was a bit nervous but he came closer to you.
ace: do you hate me?
"what? no"
ace: i been trying to talk to you but you been avoiding me again. and those small talks too
"i don't hate you..i feel weird around you. MY HEART IS EXPLODING RIGHT NOW"
ace smirked and grinned.
"why are you smiling?"
ace: because i'm happy. you like me
"what???" turns redder.
ace: do you dream about me too
"yes.."
ace smiled again.
" i mean no! No!"
ace: i caught you red handed luv
"LUV? stop it ace.."
ace chuckled.
ace: alright alright i'll stop. this was funny. now stop ignoring me from now on okay?
"i won't promise."
ace kissed your hand and dragged you outside. you were now with the whitebeard pirates and drinking.
you were so flustered that you didn't say anything with your grandpa, thatch and marco. they all felt worried about you while ace was chuckling
that bastard!
whitebeard: are you okay y/n
marco: you don't feel well yoi
thatch: fever?
y/n: i'm fine!!!!
— days later
you and ace have been cuddling, kissing and normal couples things to each other since that day. you got caught by his beauty and cute little tricks. you realized you love ace.
you guys been secretly on a love strike.
then one day ace felt sick. he didn't tell you because you were gonna worry. whitebeard send him to look for food and his stubbornness went knowing he was sick.
it took him 4 hours. you were getting worried and so as everybody else.
you told them that you will go on your own and find ace.
you went to explore. you kinda got a bit distracted by the fruits but you remembered what you came here for. you saw a body laying down on the ground. you realized it was ace and you ran to him.
"ace? ace are you alright??"
he didn't respond
he was red and feverish. he was also sweating like crazy and you touched his forehead.
y/n: omgg you are burning up
you guys were far from the ship. then it randomly started to rain and you were worried about ace completely. you went in for shelter.
you ripped a bit of your shirt and make it into a towel. you gave him water to drink and waited for the rain to cool down.
you were holding aces hand.
when you were waiting, you fell asleep.
after a couple of hours ace woke up feeling a bit better.
ace: hmm? y/n?
you woke up to his presence
y/n: YOURE AWAKE?
ace: too loud luv
y/n: sorry, i was just worried
ace: i love you *grins*
y/n: i love you more
ace: no i love you more more
y/n: no i love you more more more
ace: no i lov—
you blocked him from speaking. you checked his forehead again and he was cooled down. you sighed in relief. ace pushed you closer to him, wrapping you to his chest. he smiled.
ace: i'm glad that you're beside me, if you didn't stopped blackbeard who knew what would've happened ya know
you murmured "yeah who would've known"
—4 years later...
you guys were happy and been with each other for more than years now.
y/n: tsk marco where are you taking me
marco: to the beach yoi
y/n: kidnapper
marco: you are not even a kid anymore yoi
thatch: shut up you two, keep walking
you guys finally went to the beach. there were beautiful decorations of flowers that were piled up in the beach. you followed the candles that were making you follow a path.
when you arrived, you saw ace. when he saw you, he grinned and went on his one knee.
ace: y/n.. will you marry me?
you were flushed. marco and thatch were laughing at your face. well laughing and crying. whitebeard was behind them smiling.
"i do" you said.
marco: children these days grow so fast yoi *tearing up*
thatch: are you actually crying this time
thatch teased marco. whitebeard was crying too. that was a shocker to see
when ace heard your two words, he hold you up
ace: y/n i'm so happy
the two of you kissed and happy ever after
