BETH HOPPER WAS HAPPY, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED. Sure, her dad was an absolute mess that infuriated her to no end, and the whole 'dead little sister' thing wasn't exactly a great time, but Beth was finally starting to feel like she was moving past that. She had found great friends in Nancy Wheeler and Barb Holland, despite the former's budding relationship with Steve Harrington and her subsequently being forced to hang around him and his douchey friends. It took her almost five years, but Beth was finally starting to be okay.
But all good - or in Beth's case, okay - things must come to an end, as Beth's life is quickly upended by the disappearances of Will Byers and Barb Holland. Suddenly, she's thrust into something out of a cheap science fiction movie, uncovering the twisted shadow of Hawkins, Indiana and the monsters that reside there alongside Nancy and her newfound companion Jonathan Byers. However, as if shady government plots and interdimensional monsters weren't enough, Beth must also face another terrible truth.
She's beginning to fall for Steve Harrington.
