they spent the entire remaining time hugging each other tightly, scared to let go. they had talked, about good times and bad, spoke freely and unfiltered. too good to be true.
they knew it has to end. just one person they knew but not that well, it wasn't worth it. it wasn't worth being this sad and miserable for so long.
even if they stayed, their problems would be the same. talking would help them stay, but the problems wouldn't stop. they were the right people together at the wrong time.
they knew their boundaries and knew what they wanted.
