Alarm rings.

I woke up with a sudden jerk.

"Ugh. I hate the sound of this." switches the alarm off.

"Isn't it like Sunday? Then why the hell did i set an alarm for 7 am!? RIP my sleep."

Mom enters.

"Good morning, sweet pea. Were you talking to yourself again? You don't wake up this early on Sundays but you are already up so there is something we need to tell you. Please come downstairs after you freshen up." kisses my forehead and leaves.

"Uhh sure."

Here we go again so hey, I am Olivia. Olivia Windsor. And as you've guessed by now i'm the narrator of the story- um well my life is nothing less than it. So you might be wondering where I am from. I was born and brought up in a small, well a really small town in England named Ely not US one, the UK one. You probably haven't heard of it because it isn't as popular as London or Edinburgh or Birmingham. Nevermind. I completed my secondary education which you all popularly know as "high school" last week from Rosswell high and I am glad that it ended not because i was a dull student on the contrary I always had the perfect grades but school was kinda tiring because well I am not much of a social bee and I suffer from social anxiety.

The woman that came earlier that's my mom, Cassandra Windsor, a homemaker and the sweetest person alive in the whole wide world. Uh that was too much- but what can i say i kinda love her too much. And then there is my dad Alex Windsor, he is quite protective towards me but i understand his concern. He is a mechanical engineer and gets paid enough to look after our family.
Well let's see what my parents have to say.

(downstairs)

There is a lot of tension at the table today.

"Olivia I wanted to say that we have decided that you will complete your graduation from Stanford university which is in (hesitates)........ California."

I blankly stared at them.

"And you will move in with your sister there. You have to leave today as university starts tomorrow. All the formalities are done and the flight is 8pm in the evening. "

I forgot to introduce you all to my sister, Sarah and she is 8 years elder to me so she is 26 now and I am 18. She works as a doctor in Cali since last 2 years. We never spent much time together because she was in a boarding during her school years and she left to pursue MBBS in Cali and got a job there. I have vague memories of her from our childhood.

"WHAT!? how could you? You did not even consider it important to ask me before taking this decision." tears rolled down my cheek.

"I thought you both loved me but all the way you just wanted to get rid of me. I hate you." I left the table angrily.
-
(In the room)

I can't believe I have to leave my home where I lived for 18 fucking years. I was more sad than angry. But I was furious that I was not even asked about my opinion.
-

(After 4pm)

Maybe, I overreacted. But now that I think of moving to a completely new country with everything new sounded so exciting and scary too.

I want to apologize to them because out of anger I screamed at them which I never did. EVER.
-

(Parent's room)

I knocked their room's door

"Can I come in?"

"Yes, darling."

"Mumma, i'm so sorry I can never hate you. I apologize for screaming at you both." I ran to mom and hugged her tightly.

"We totally understand your feelings at first I was skeptical about it too but it's for your betterment." Dad said.

"I am glad you understood. We have less than 4 hours to pack, hon." Mom said in worried tone.

"Okay, help me pack or I will forget to take half of my things."

We all laughed.
-

Within 3 hours or so we packed almost every essentials and for the last 1 hour I decided to take one last look around my home sweet home before leaving it for god knows how long. Every room, every passage, corners gave me a trip back to the memory lane. The photos hung on the wall reminded me of the fun times we had.

A single drop of tear managed to escape my eyes. I wiped it off.

(A notification comes in the phone)

It was from my sister.

Sister: Liv, I am so happy you're moving in here. Looking forward to the fun times with you.

It was 7:10 pm. And I had to leave in few minutes.
-

(7.30 in the evening)

"So it is that time where we have to say goodbye to you for now." My mom said with a tear in the corner of her eyes.

"Do call us every now and then. And don't do parties, club and anything sort of that. Be a good girl." My dad said.

"Sure." I said with a sarcastic tone.

"Bye mom. Bye dad." I turned around and looked at them for the last time before getting in the cab.
