Chapter 14

CHANGBIN'S POV

It's been just a day since Y/n woke up and this feeling still hasn't gone away. the feeling that if I leave her side, she'll disappear again.

these are the things I think about as I walk into her room, holding 2 cups of coffee, one for me and one for her. I start to shake as I place a hand on the doorknob. I wonder what she'll say, that's when I take my hand off the knob and run it through my hair. I shouldn't have left it as a note, I should've gotten the guts and done it the right way! How am I so stupid?!

That's when I just said screw it and opened the door.

I walk in and realize she's still asleep, I just stand there for a minute admiring how beautiful she is. How did I get so lucky?

That's when my eyes fell on the shinning ring on her finger on the hand that was lying beside her head. she's wearing the engagement ring... Oh my God! She's wearing the engagement ring!!! the one I bought!

that's when I had to set the coffee down and quietly pulled up a chair next to her. I place a hand on hers, rubbing the engagement ring on her ring finger. My gaze moved to her face, and I noticed all the little things all over again.

Man, how did I get so lucky? I asked myself before I saw Y/n's eyes flutter open.

Y/n's POV

I slowly opened my eyes to see Changbin sitting there in front of me. suddenly everything became real, as if the depressive episodes I had while I was kidnapped never happened, I finally had a reason to live!

"Yes" I said, he looked a little confused, but he soon caught on. "I don't know what I would've done if you said no" He explained with a small laugh.

we talked a while, talking about what we had to have at the wedding, how I needed to meet his parents, and who we had to invite. now you might be saying that it's too early to plan that stuff, but we just couldn't help ourselves. 

next thing we know, the door opened and in came the other members, I looked at the clock and realized me and Changbin had been talking for 3 hours. it didn't even feel that long. 

they didn't even get to their spots before Felix holds out his hands to stop the rest of the members. "wait" he squinted "Y/n's wearing an engagement ring" his gaze turned to Changbin "And you didn't tell us?" he asked offended, dropping his arms.

before we could go on the door opened again and this time it was the doctor. he held a chart and continued to walk forward, while looking at said chart. 

he looked around the room at all my visitors "I'm afraid I have bad news..." he spoke, fidgeting with the clipboard as if he's never done this before. "Y/n, I'm sorry but the tests came back, and you have stage 2 stomach cancer."

I looked down at Changbin's hand in mine. I froze, this can't be happening, right? 

"This isn't right, are you guys sure?" Jisung asked as tears ran down his cheeks. "I'm sure, we had several doctors look at the images." he paused "we can treat it with chemo and hope it goes away but you feel a lot sicker than you already do."

After going through the details of chemo we decided we wanted to fight it. the boys would kill me if I said no. 

Once the doctor left everyone was quiet for a minute before Changbin stood and walked to the other side of the wall where I couldn't see him then I heard a loud thud, followed by sobbing. I'm assuming he punched the wall, but I was in too much of a daze to comprehend what happened. My mind was to focused on the cancer...

"H-How could this happen?" Changbin asked "how could you go through so much and the world still decides to give you more on your plate?" He spoke again.

I had to agree with him, one good thing happens and then comes 2 bad things. it's a cycle.

that's when Changbin came back to my bedside and hands my hand in his "no matter what happens you're so strong, I believe you can beat this!" he explained. That's when I nodded as a single tear rolled down my face. 

I wiped away the tear when I heard the door open again. can't people just leave me alone for an hour? I ask myself.

that's when I saw a familiar face and suddenly things weren't as bad.

"Eric!" I voiced as I tried to get out of bed to hug him, but Changbin stopped me. I laid back down as Eric came to me and gave me a hug. "What are you doing here?" I asked as he pulled away. 

"I saw your face on the news then I called your mother, and she told me what you said when you last called her. I had to come find you. you could've told me you murdered your ex-husband." he explained. 

"I'm sorry, there's a lot I should've done but I didn't" I said.

Just as I was introducing Eric to the boys another nurse walked in. this time it was to administer the first round of chemo drugs, since I can't get out of bed just yet they're bringing the drugs to me.

we were all talking when the nurse started pushing the drugs through my IV. She was getting annoyed with me because I was laughing at the dad jokes Chan was telling, and Eric's annoyed face. 

as she pushed the drugs in, I felt my arm getting tighter, but I didn't think anything of it, till suddenly the room went dark and I felt like I couldn't breathe. that's when I heard everyone shout my name. 

"Y/n!"

the last thing I remember was hearing something drop to the floor and soon something or someone pushing on my chest. 

I don't remember anything after that. 

am I dying?

Sorry it took me so long to update I got way too busy with life this past year, still am busy but I'll try to update before the 6 months mark this time lol
