The Decision

Barry pov:

After a lot of thinking i convinced myself to go on with the deal, we do need the help and i guess what harm could it do right? I just was not that sure of all the cameras that will be on me but is a package deal. After getting my composure together I got in my car and drove to Catco. After a good hour or so drive i arrived at her work. The valet boy took my keys and i went in, i asked the people at the reception what floor Kara was on after debating that i had important matters to discuss they finally gave me the answer and i went up to the top floor. I asked a blonde girl with glasses where Kara's office was, she looked at me up and down and i gave her a weird look before she pointed at the balcony where Kara was standing...i took a deep breath before making my way towards her she was enjoying the city view before i took over the silence

"Ms Danvers?"- I say 

"Mr Allen"- She says turning around fixing her glasses 

"Is it okay if we talk?"- Barry, Kara simply nodded and she led me to her office i could feel stares from her workers i gulped and went in  and sat across her. She offered me some coffee that i declined

"So Barry What brings you here in my office?"- Kara 

"To talk about the thing..listen Ms Danvers i get that you have this whole thing image wise you know . I'm willing to marry you..if you  are down for it that is"- Barry 

"Firstly call me Kara, secondly i have taught about it and is a win win situation so yes we shall get married okay there is.."- Kara begins to trail off about how the wedding and all should be till i interrupted her 

"Alright Kara slow down..before we sprung a whole marriage to the public shouldn't we you know date first? in a way that is..i...i just think that it will be more believable"- Barry 

"You have a point there Barry so i guess we shall announce to our families then uhh why not dinner at my place?"- Kara suggests 

"Sounds good"- i say standing up and she hands me her address on a piece of paper, i was about to leave when i turned around to face her i was about to say something but decided not to and make my leave well here it begins....

Kara pov:

After Barry left my mind stopped working once more i didn't know why my heart seemed to be beating out of my chest. The rest of the day I could not get any work done thinking about the dinner that was gonna happen later the second the clock hit 6pm i made my way back home, i had an hour before Barry along with his and my family come over thank god Felicity managed to find a last minute catering service that arrived just in time before my guest had arrived. I welcomed them and led them to my dinning table. Barry pulled up a chair for me to sit which i gladly did and he sat beside me. Our father's like always caught up with each other.. in the midst of their conversation i looked over at Barry and we both knew it was time to tell them about our decision

"If we may have your attention"- Kara

"We take it you two have made your decision"- My dad says taking a sip of his wine

"Yes Father, we will date for abit just a month or so before getting engaged then getting married"- I emphasied 

"hmm alright now barry since you are gonna be future son in law i trust that you do not hurt my daughter in any way "- Dad says already giving Barry the dad talk 

"There is no reason for me to hurt your daughter sir.."- Barry 

"That's good especially since well you know in the marriage it will be my daughter being the one that brings the most income in"- Dad i looked over at Barry and he had his head down it was obvious that the conversation made him uncomfortable not only him but his parents as well. Noticing this i took over the conversation to find out more about their family farm and vineyard. Barry's father did the most talking about it and his mother said that they would love to have me over. After another half an hour of just mingling and trying to help Barry avoid anymore awkward conversations with my father it was time for everyone to head home. After bidding everyone goodbye well more like my parents and soon to be in laws goodbye as they went back to their respective homes. Barry said he was gonna stay and help me clean up since i sent the help home before they all arrived. After helping me tidy the place up, he and I went to the living room and i offered him some wine 

"So that dinner was interesting.."- I say taking a sip of my wine 

"Yeahh i guess so your dad had some um nice questions"- Barry

"Sorry about that "- Kara, there was then silence between us before he breaks it once more

"i just um wanted to say sorry  about the other day I should have been more careful "- Barry 

"No it was my fault "-  Kara

"How about we start over? I hear second impressions are better than firsts, Hi I'm Barry Allen high school track team star nick named  fastest man alive "- Barry says extending his hand to me 

"Kara Danvers heiress to Jeremiah and Alura Danvers, CEO of Catco and soon to be engaged to the fastest man alive"- I say shaking his hand earning a laugh from him. We talked for i dont know how long and honestly i had fun getting to know him better...

I didn't know how much i had drink last night but i woke up in my bed I got up with a horrible headache and made my way to the kitchen I see a blanket that is folded and pillow on my sofa Barry must've slept over, on top of my kitchen island i see doughnuts in a bag and coffee in my travel cup with a note beside it 'Had to go i'll see you soon enjoy the breakfast got you some asprin as well'- Barry and a smiley face at the end I smile at the note and folded it up putting it inside the drawer near my bed.  I immediately got changed and grabbed the breakfast Barry made me for on the go. After throwing in a simple blue dress and tying my hair  into a messy bun i got in my car and drove to Catco. After i passed my keys to the valet boy i made my way up to my office. When i walked out of the elevator i see Felicity already making her way towards me with my schedule for the day I just gave her a smile and sat at my desk to do todays work while munching on the doughnuts Barry packed for me today was definitely  different from the other days...
