"Let's go!" ani Alexandria pagkahinto na pagkahinto nang minamaneho nitong kotse sa parking lot ng ospital. "Please fix yourself," paalala nito.

I fixed my huge sunglasses and pulled my hoodie down so most of my face was covered. I am wearing a loose hoodie to conceal myself, just as Alexandria instructed.

"Everyone knows that you're here. Your airport photos are all over the internet this morning. Chances are, they are already camping outside your hotel right now and are ready to follow you around. They're dying to get an update about Louie's condition," ang sabi sa akin ni Alexandria kanina nang sunduin ako nito sa hotel room ko.

I was surprised to see her in a loose hoodie when she showed up right outside my door. Muntik ko na itong hindi makilala. She doesn't usually dress like that.

Umiiwas daw pala ito sa media. She even used a friend's car para 'wag itong masundan ng mga reporters.

She asked me to wear a hoodie myself, plus a huge pair of sunglasses.

"We don't want anyone tracking us down," Alexandria said earlier.

Magkasabay kaming bumaba ng kotse at saka naglakad papasok ng ospital. The hospital was huge. It looks expensive, too. Probably one of the best in the country.

I followed Alexandria. Wala kaming imikan habang naglalakad.

And then I saw it, the room, which I assumed, Louie's at. The first thing that caught my attention is the personal guards right outside the door. And then the sign that says Intensive Care Unit.

Pakiramdam ko'y mas lalong bumilis ang pintig ng aking puso. I took in some deep breaths to calm myself down but it doesn't seem to work.

Agad na sumalubong sa amin yung isa sa mga guards.

"Don't tell anyone that we came here," ang agad na wika ni Alexandria dun sa guard.

"Copy po, Ma'am Alex."

"This is Louie's wife. You know her, right?" Alexandria said, slightly tilting her head in my direction.

Bumaling sa akin yung guard. "Yes po. Good morning po, Ma'am."

I just slightly nod to acknowledge his greetings.

"Don't worry, we won't take long," ani Alexandria dun sa guard bago ito bumaling sa akin. "Go ahead, Aera. I'll be right here."

I got even more nervous. Excited yet nervous. I felt like every cell in my body was shaking. My feet felt wobbly when I let the guard lead me to the door.

He opened the door for me. I took a couple of steps inside the room and felt the guard close the door behind me.

And then I saw Louie. There was a huge glass window in between us. He was inside another room where only medical staff is allowed, I can only watch him through the huge glass window.

I wanted to hug him really tight yet I couldn't even touch him!

I started crying the moment I stepped inside the room. He was there lying on the huge hospital bed, with all the apparatus attached to him, fully unconscious.

I wanted to touch him yet all I could do was pressed my palm against the glass. The last convo we had played back on my mind where he said I love you for the very first time. And my biggest regret is I wasn't able to tell him that I love him, too.

"Baby, I'm here," I said aloud between muffled sobs. Though I wasn't really sure if he could hear me. But still I want him to know that I'm here now.

"I know you can hear me," ang sabi ko pa sa nanginginig na boses habang patuloy na pagbaha ang mga luha mula sa aking mga mata. It was like the floodgates had been opened and I couldn't stop the tears from falling. "You have to fight, okay? You have to be okay. Mag-uusap pa tayo, 'di ba? Ang sabi mo mag-uusap pa tayo pag-uwi mo," I couldn't finish what I was about to say as uncontrollable sobs were fighting to escape my mouth.
