Part 2: Daffodil

Gem

\ˈjem\

Noun

: a highly prized or well-beloved person

I never had the greatest interest in poetry, not until I learned about I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth. It has the most realistic imagery. The way he described the comfort of nature's music and the grace of the daffodils' dance made me feel like I was in that same paradise. My favorite part is the daffodils. They make up the face of the poem's beauty. According to research, daffodils contain toxic alkaloids that can cause severe vomiting, but hey, they're one of the most beautiful kinds of flowers to ever exist. Speaking of, here's one! It sure is wild. Its petals are wide open, as if inviting others in camaraderie. I carefully pick it up, hoping that it would be my new friend. It dances to the music of nature, as graceful as how Wordsworth described it in his masterpiece. It drew me closer to this blossom. I know it's just a flower, but I swear I could hear it say "I'm gay enough to steal your mans! "That just pulled the most jovial and most genuine giggles out of me! It just killed my anxiety. This flower is a gem, I'm keeping it. New friend alert!
