Your voice is the smooth cadence of my heart
The lyrics that spew from your delicate pink lips
are the intellect my mind has desired
Your smile is the comfort and peace my soul has been searching for
as the key to unlock the treacherous secrets secluded in the depths of me
Your eyes are the beautiful shimmering pools
that could break down the strongest of barriers to my self
and then draw from within me that which I withhold
How I long for the feeling of your hands
which bear no malicious intent
to hold mine in a gesture of protection and love
What shouldn't I give to feel the love I deserve—
the love you so blessedly possess—
though you require nothing of me to douse me in your love and affection
My empathic soul reaches out to yours
through nothing but glass and wires pushed together
thoughts and words—
Spoken and unspoken
we do and we don't hear
What I would do to feel these swirling emotions up close with you
