Tommy let Michael back into the Shelby Company in exchange for Polly's yes vote on the opium deal, but it didn't lead to peace. Polly foresaw a war between the two men, in which one of them would die but she didn't know which. That, and her upcoming marriage to Aberama Gold, prompted her to resign from her company treasurer role. With Aberama murdered three weeks before their wedding, Tommy had promised to 'do what he needed to do' with Michael, but stopped short of saying he would kill Polly if she chose to side with her son. But lets back track a little bit.

'Kat,' polly said hugging her tight, she sent tommy a glare as Mosley looked her over. 'Youre here!'

'Kat, I didn't think you would be-' tommy began.

'Who is this exquisite creature?' Mosley said his eyes raking over her.

'Katarina Solomons' she said sweetly before pulling Polly away and grabbing her hand. 'Who is the lucky guy?'

'How did you know?'

'you get your gypsy feelings and I get mine.' Kat reminded her.

'You always saw, felt, chaos.' Polly remembered.

'I felt like you needed me.' kat said. 'so,' she prompted.

'Aberama Gold.'

'Bonnies father?'

'Bonnie is dead.' Polly informed her and kat went silent. 'I foresaw a war between two men, in which one of them would die.' Polly told her.

'which two men?' kat questioned softly.

'Michael.' She said and kats eyes went wide. 'and Thomas.' Kat understood.

'who dies?' but Polly didn't know which one was fated to take his last breath.

'talk to tommy, like is too short.' Polly told her. walking away and nodding to tommy, he ran up and kat hugged him. He didn't questioned it.

'alfie wants me to forgive you.' Kat informed him.

'have you?' tommy asked hopefully still holding her tightly to him.

'no, but it's a start.' She whispered.

'I missed you kit kat. I missed you so much.' He cradled her to him. 'I am sorry. I am so sorry. I never wanted to hurt you.'

'you did Tom. You hurt me bad.' Kat informed him.

'I know and I will spend the rest of my life trying to make it up to you.' Tommy told her.

'I have a son.' She told him.

'I know. Polly told me... she told me you lost him. Kat I'm so sorry. She told me you lost the baby because you were too stressed, so stressed about possibly losing Alfie and I did that I made you lose your child. Because of what I did... Kat I can never make up for that.'

Now would be the right time to tell him, that kat did indeed have the baby. She made polly swear to secrecy. Kat thought as she quietly pulled him away from the party.

'I will never be able to forgive myself for what I did to you. To You and Alfie.' Kat didn't say anything. 'I know hes alive katnip. I know it because he wrote me. he wrote me saying thanks for not killing his dog.' Tommy informed her. kat didn't speak. 'no one knows.' Tommy assured her. 'no one will know if you don't want them to.' kat nodded. It was best if everyone thought him dead, safer for Alfie and Aj and herself. 'Can I try and make it up to you so one day?' tommy questioned. 'I hate that I hurt you and I cant lose you again, ive been a mess. A wreck without you and its all my damn fault.' Tommy told her wiping the tears from her eyes. 'Will you let me try and grovel my way back to you?'

'You can certainly try.' She teased but all the love she might have felt for her brother disappeared when Finn was shot.
