—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(Ginny's POV)

School. How that one word can make someone hate or love their life. I for one love school, but for several reasons. I have plenty of friends, finally got myself a boyfriend this summer, and I have two brothers there. Sure, they can be annoying, but I still love them.

I guess I should introduce myself to you guys. I'm Virginia Mays, but most people call me Ginny for short. I have long black hair that reaches to the middle of my back, blue eyes, but they flicker to gray every now and then(I love it), and I play tennis. Tennis players are usually quick, so I normally get up early on weekends and do laps around town.

I'm also kind of average on height at 5'6, but I don't really care. I have two younger brothers, one year younger and two years younger than me. That being said, I just turned 16 believe it or not. Sigh, I love being the literal youngest in my grade.

I can keep going on, but I won't bore you guys. I smashed my alarm's snooze button, rolled out of bed, and stretched. I grabbed my phone off its charger and looked at my messages. I saw a text message from my boyfriend, Alex, and smiled.

"Ready for the first day of junior year babe? :)" it read. I typed back "Hell yeah!" and set it down. I quickly grabbed a pair of clothes and headed towards the bathroom. I got undressed, stepped into the shower, and let the warm hot water hit me.

However, that peace quickly evaporated as I heard Drew yell from next door. "Breakfast is ready Gin!" I sighed and quickly finished washing myself, stepped out, dried off with a towel(hair dryers take WAY too long) put my clothes on(blue jeans with a cute pink short-sleeve), and put my hair in a ponytail.

I walked downstairs to find my two brothers already eating. "Looking cute for your boyfriend?" Tony teased. "No Tony, she's totally looking like a snack," Drew snickered. "Say what you want, but I at least have a date, Tony," I shot back at him.

Tony, the youngest, has never dated in his life. He has red hair, brown eyes, and a hell of a baseball player... don't tell him I admitted that. He's shorter than me, and he voice cracks so much now it's hilarious. My other brother, Drew, is a bit different.

Unlike the shorter and small build of Tony, Drew is tall and built well. He earned multiple Defense POTW(player of the week) in the county last year in football, and he could probably crush anyone in this family. He's near 6 feet tall at the age of 15, and his voice is deep, and I mean deep. He also has a girlfriend, Emily Evans. They've been dating for close to a year now and it's a perfect match in my opinion.

Tony mumbled and finished eating his breakfast. "Can't believe you're driving us to school now," Drew said in disbelief. "Well would you rather ride the bus?" I questioned him. "Honestly, no," he replied. We both finished our breakfasts in peace.

"Emily has cheer tryouts tomorrow. Can you take me to go see her?" Drew asked. "Only because Daisy is there," I told him. I then instructed the boys to grab their bags as I went to grab mine. "Everyone got their stuff?" I asked as both boys nodded. "Well, time to show Lincoln County High what the Mays' have in store for them! Let's go!"

—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I parked in the packed parking lot, and the three of us got out. A cold wind hit, and I shivered. "I really should've brought a sweatshirt," I mumbled. My two brothers were talking about whatever boys talk about, and we soon reached the front doors of LCHS.

"Ready crew? Make me proud!" I saluted like an idiot. My brothers did in return and we laughed. "I miss those days when we acted like idiots," Tony sighed as I pushed the front doors open. "I thought those days weren't over with," Drew said with a tone so realistic you wouldn't have known it was sarcasm.

I laughed as I split apart from them. I found my locker, aka 418. I opened it up and put my things in. As I drew my body back, I felt the air from my locker door shut as it barely missed my head. "Oops! Sorry about that Ginny!"

As I calmed myself down, I looked to my left. "Hi John," I mumbled. He had a cheeky grin on his face. Poor guy has been crushing on me since we were like 5. He's taller than me, barely, has slick-back brown hair, blue eyes, and freckles. He was cute, but that feeling quickly went away after he became obsessed over me.

"That's Mr. Lover to you toots," he winked. "Your last name is as pathetic as your flirting attempts," I groaned. His face dropped as if I had slapped him. "Especially now that she has a boyfriend," said a voice behind me.

I felt a hand around my waist and I looked up. "Hey Alex!" I smiled as he pecked my cheek. "Alex Malone, the star of the football team?!" John said, his face much paler now. "Yes John," I shook my head. John said nothing, but quietly walked away.

"Perfect timing babe. Where were you?" I asked him. "At my locker. Locker 531," he explained. "Well, we only have 3 classes together, but have a fun day!" I told him as I stepped on my tiptoes to kiss him(he's a half foot taller than me, don't judge.)

"Leaving so soon?" he pouted. "You know I like to be on time. Not top 10 for nothing!" I smiled as I hugged him. "If he gives you any more trouble, let me know," he said as I turned around. "I'll let you know Alex," I grinned.
