SHORT ANGST

seungmin has wanted to confess to hyunjin for so long now but he is scared on how the older with react but he decided to do it anyways

it is lunch time for them. seungmin and his friends are sitting in a table together

"hey hyunjin" seungmin called out for the older

"can you please meet me after school? I have something to tell you" 

"yea sure" 

~AFTER SCHOOL~

seungmin has been waiting infront of the school gate for 20 minutes now and hyunjin was nowhere to be found and it disappointed seungmin a lot

"SEUNGMIN!!!" a voice called his name/ he turned around and saw the person he has been waiting for, hyunjn

"finally what took you so long"

"sorry minnie. Ms. kang needed some help. so what are you gonna tell me?"

"I.. Love you hyunjin. like I love you romantically and I was wondering do you feel the same?" seungmin was full of hope and hyunjin can see that in his eyes

seungmin's heart broke when he saw hyunjin's reaction. there was a confuse look on hyunjin's face

"do you not like me as well?" seungmin started tearing up at the thought of getting rejected but he know and promise himself to accept the older answer to matter what

"uh no please don't cry. I like you too. it's just that I wa-was... SURPRISED that's it, I was just surprised" hyunjin tried to comfort the other the best way he can think off and it seems to start working eventually

"really?" seungmin asked the older with the cutest, shiniest puppy eyes ever. hyunjin would be lying if he says that seungmin doesn't look cute right now

"yes...? really" seungmin heard a bit of hesitation in hyunjin's voice but decided to be stubborn and ignore it...

~4 MONTHS LATER~

seungmin and hyunjin's relationship was moving smoothly but seungmin did feel a bit unwanted from time to time by hyunjin but it was fine, until

a new kid just moved in and hyunjin decided to welcome the new kid with some warm cookies

"Hi welcome to our neighborhood. I just wanna give you this warm cookies as a welcome gift"

"thank you. btw I'm jeongin... and you are?" 

"hyunjin. I'm hyunjin and you should meet my bo- my bestfriend later" 

hyunjin couldn't take his eyes off the younger. he find jeongin really cute and loving. he may or may not have took a liking to the boy towards the boy already

they didn't know that seungmin was watching them from his window

'he looks like he might have like the boy already... haha he never smiles like that when he's with me" 

seungmin couldn't help but feel sad that hyunjin was smiling with another boy and this time his smile looks so sweet and genuine unlike the smile he does when he is with seungmin. it looked forced. he felt like hyunjin doesn't love him anymore

seungmin kept on wondering why hyunjin hasn't broke up with him went it's obvious that it was just a one sided relationship. seungmin was the only one putting effort into their relationship. it's like hyunjin was just being forced to be with him

~1 WEEK LATER~

hyunjin hasn't heard anything from seungmin for like a week now and believe it or not he is actually worried for the younger because even in school the younger would ignore the older as much as he can

he even texted the younger a bunch of times and he still hasn't answer

hyunjin had enough. he wanted to talk to seungmin and that's what he did. he went to seungmin's house and knock on the door

"hyunjin!!! Hi darling how are you?" Ms. kim opened the door and was happy to see the boy because he hasn't been over for 1 week

"I'm good mom. can I talk to suengmin please?" there parents are so close that they call each others parents mom and dad

"of course honey, he's in his room"

hyunjin bowed to Ms. kim first before he went to seungmin. he didn't knock on the door. he just opened it

"seungmin"

seungmin was on his study tablet doing his homework so he turned his head to the side to see hyunjin. it shock him

"oh hyunjin.."

"why are you ignoring me?" 

"I wasn't igno-"

"cut the act seungmin. just tell me"

"you seem to love spending time with jeongin recently so I decided to give you guys time, you know?"

"but why just why are you giving me a full blow silent treatment. even at school you don't talk to me. heck you didn't even let me help on the project we were paired up with. you just suddenly did it all by yourself"

"I- hyunjin look it's not like that" 

"then what is it like?"

"I just didn't want to butt in between you and jeongin. you two seems to have good bound"

"so you're saying that you have been avoiding me because you're jealous?"

"yea kinda like that but I also have a different reason"

"first of all that's a dumb reason, and second shouldn't you be talking to me about this kind of things?"

"the other reason I have been avoiding you is because I don't think we belong together"

"wh- what?"

"yea. I feel like all this time it has been a one sided love. I felt it since the beginning I just couldn't bring myself it believe in it. hahaha love makes us do crazy things. and whenever you are with jeongin, you smile the way you never did with me. now let me ask you something... why did you stay?"

"what..."

"why did you stay with me when you clearly don't love me the way I love you" 

"I..." hyunjin was so stunt by this seungmin. he didn't expect this

"did you ever love me?" seungmin was now standing up facing hyunjin with teary eyes

"I never loved you... I'm sorry. I was just to scared to reject you because I don't want to hurt you"

"you know that what you did to pretend that you love me hurts even more right? but I want to thank you for giving me the happiest 4 months in my life"

"I Love you hyunjin" seungmin didn't say anything else but just smiled bitterly towards hyunjin and return to his sit at his table

"you can stay if you want I guess. mom would love you here"

hyunjin went outside and stayed in the kims house for a while
