The (L/N) family waited at the train station as the patriarch of the family was set to arrive from the battle against yet again another nation in Marley's way.

The 11 year old stood next to her mother, her younger siblings playing around next to them. Her eyes scanned the area, trying to find a specific group of warriors.

One by one, the soldiers walked off the train carts; some injured more than others. Her mother's laugh reached her ears, the girl looking away from the train to see her father laughing as he hugged his wife.

Glancing back one more time, she smiled at her father; trying to look as though she was truly waiting for him at the station.

"(Y/N)! Look how big you've gotten! Oh, my little girl!" General Brunswick laughed, picking his daughter up and twirling her around.

"It was only a year, father." She laughed, arms gripping around her dad's shoulders to keep her from falling.

"And that one year made such a difference." When she was put down, she went back to looking around the crowd; watching as those around her also began to embrace their loved ones.
