JENNIE POV
"Jennie, we just got our dress on the model. Everything is set," Tinna said.
"Okay, great, let's go to our seats," I replied.
Here we are, at Madison Square Garden. One of the most famous arenas in America. We sat by the bar, where Taehyung was serving drinks to the other guest.
"Hello, ladies," he said.
"He Tae," Tinna said.
"Can I get you anything for tonight," he asked.
"You know, water is just fine for both of us," I said.
"Awe, that's the hardest drink to make," Taehyung teased.
"Shut up," I chuckled.
Taehyung brought two glasses and used the hose underneath the bar to spray in some water.
"Jennie, the show is starting," Tinna said.
Our CEO walked out in front with a mic. He introduced all the guests.
"Thank you for coming out to the Marigarti showcase in New York. One show out of many others throughout the world. Tonight we have a unique showcase for you. It captures the city of New York, the big apple. Please welcome our models," the CEO announced, and the models began walking out.
One by one, we saw new dresses and cheers from the crowd. New color themes and....,.well how should I say this, interesting designs.
"Okay, how did that dress even get through the dress code," Tinna asked.
"Hey, when's your dress coming," I heard Taehyung.
"It's coming soon," I said.
Finally, the model with our dress came out, and yet again, we had the most crowd cheer. Even Taehyung was amazed at the creation.
"You made that," he asked.
"Yep," I replied. "Well, I didn't make it literally. I just created the design for the dress."
"Wow, it's beautiful," Taehyung said.
After the showcase was over, the dresses were brought out on statues to present to more buyers. Again, my dress was on display. Tinna and I were nervously waiting at the bar as we drank more and more.
"Okay, that's a lot of martinis you guys are drinking," Taehyung said as he made more for us.
"Sorry, we're nervous about our dress," Jennie said.
"What do you mean people loved it," Taehyung said.
"That's the problem. People love it that they might want to buy it right away," I said. "I still want to have the dress so that I can fix it."
"You sure you just don't want the dress for yourself," Taehyung teased me.
"Oh please, I would never," I said.
*Taehyung raises eyebrow*
"Okay, maybe some dresses I've designed, I would've like to have, but that's not the point," I explained.
"Look, someone is examining the dress," Tinna tapped my shoulder.
One of the people was looking at the dress. After looking at it for a good 5 minutes, they walked over to the CEO. What we saw was a firm handshake, and just like that, the dress was bought.
"Shit," I mumbled.
"It's alright. That means someone liked it," Taehyung said.
"Yeah, it's alright, Jennie," Tinna said.
"I guess so," I said.
"Come on, I heard we were gifted something," Tinna said, and we went to the back.
We went to the back with the rest of the staff. The CEO had something to say.
"Great first showcase, the city thanks us for having such brands like these in their city. They went and gave us tickets to go up the empire state building," the CEO said.
Our managers passed out tickets and a brochure to go with them.
"Well, see you there tonight," then the CEO left the room.
11: 00 P.M
1 hour till midnight. Tinna, Taehyung, and I went back to the hotel to change out of our work clothes. Taewon was already in bed. I had to make sure I hid all the candy from him. Anyway, the crew was at the building. One of the workers is giving us a tour till. We rode the elevator up the building. Once we reached the top, we went outside to see the view.
"You can see all of New York from here," Tinna said.
New York at night looked amazing, with the streetlights. And you get a nice view of the world trade center right across from you.
"Jennie, take a picture of me," Tinna gave me her phone.
After taking a few pictures, I looked out in the distance of New York. The nice night breeze skimmed my face. I've heard footsteps of the group moving away and moving to another part at the top. Almost every footstep.
"Hey," I heard a voice.
*turns around*
"Hey Taehyung," I smiled. "What are you doing, aren't you with the group."
"I wanted to get away from the crowd," Taehyung said.
Taehyung stood besides me as we watched New York together.
"This is my first time in New York. I've seen pictures of them online, but it looks way better in person," Taehyung said.
"It's always better in person," I replied which he smiled. "I heard there's an M&M factory near time's square."
"We should go there, so Taewon can stop eating m]y candy," Taehyung said.
"No, I'm not even going to let Taewon eat my M&Ms," I said.
"He's going to be jealous," Taehyung said.
"Yeah, I know," I smiled.
As silence closed in, I couldn't help but bring myself closer to Taehyung.
"The city is beautiful," he said.
Slowly, I felt as if Taehyung had wrapped his arms around me. And me, leaning my head on his shoulders. His warm embrace had saved the night.
