(Skull's POV)
Skull's tail twitched with irritation at the consistent stream of creative obscenities flowing from the apprentice's mouth. He could sense both Oblivion and Venom's mounting vexation and their ability to keep silent was evidently waning.
"For the love of nothing, can you stop that?" Skull snarled, whipping around to face the she-cat that was now stomping with as much noise she could possibly make. Surprisingly loud for such a small, dainty being.
A glimmer of pleasure flashed in the she-cat's eyes at his visible irritation before vanishing in a heartbeat, as though it never existed in the first place.
"Stop what? Are you going to stop me from walking? Do you want to carry me back to camp?" the apprentice snapped with blazing ferocity and continued without giving him the time to respond, "That's what I thought, now shut up and take me back to camp so we can leave each other in peace. Your big mouth hurts my ears."
Skull snarled again before whipping around and power-walking across the moors. The rest of the walk back to camp was tortuous and excruciating, more so than dealing with dense-skulled clan cats who didn't understand the concept of personal space.
"We're here," Skull snapped, "There's a MistClan and TorrentClan cat in that den there, but for the time being you'll stay in the den here-"
Before Skull finished speaking, the she-cat haughtily sauntered over to the den, smacking his face with her fluffy tail as she passed.
"It's rude to not thank your host," Skull called down into the den after the apprentice climbed in.
"I am so greatly thankful and appreciative of the fact that I have a dirt-place of a den to stay within," a snarky, sarcastic drawl sounded from within the den and Skull stormed away to her sister and adopted daughter.
"Brother," Oblivion spoke, her deep blue eyes trained on his, "I highly suggest you rid the camp of this pest before she decides to irritate some lesser forgiving beings and they beat you to it."
"And Skull," Venom purred, "The she-cat looks like she would make a delicious paw-sized snack for me."
Skull winced, remembering Venom's cannibalistic tendencies. She ate close to nothing, fueled by her hatred and rage, or so she said, but when she did consume things, it would be only cat flesh.
"No, both of you stop," he snapped at their consistent stream of suggestions. "Nobody's killing, harming, eating or maiming anyone. We'll allow her to live for now, for she may be an Elemental."
"Or she could report back to her precious MistClan about our clan structure and allow them to kill us," Venom quipped.
Skull stormed away, yet couldn't pinpoint why he didn't immediately follow the suggestions from his kin. He usually did that. He always did that. They spoke. He listened.
However, sometimes, he supposed, the easiest way out of trouble could lead to a bigger one behind it.
