" All this for some damn perfume you better not ask me for nothing else "

Handing me her card I swiped it and handed her the bag

" Have a nice day" I said "'mmmmmhh let's go girl "

All I can think about is the money I'm so close to quitting this job for real

" sani girl look at those niggas over then "

As I look across I seen Julian and messiah standing infront of footlocker I just shook my head and prayed they ain't see me

But my prayer was a lil to late Julian spotted me and tapped messiah now they walking over here

"They is fine it look like the coming over here " 

" I want the one wit the waves he's fine "  Jackie said  making anther comment about the twins

" wassup yasaniy " I heard Julian say I looked up and went back to my phone 

I see 2 shadows infront of my face so I look up and see both of them looking at me smiling

" what do you want Julian and messiah " I said

" dang it ain't juju no more " Julian said I just shook my head

Julian then walked off I guess to talk to Jackie

" so you just gonna stand there" I heard from messiah I looked at him

" what messiah it's my shift so I can't talk right now "

" no it's not girl ya break just started " 

I looked to the side to see both Jackie and Julian laughing

I heard messiah chuckle causing  me to look at him again

" messiah what do you need "

he looked at me ignoring my question and asked if I wanna get some food with him

before anyone says anything I only went because free food so  anywayysss

" yea sure but your paying "

Walking out the store we stopped to get some Chinese food and started eating 

" so how you been ma "

" I've been alright you"

he said " good " I looked at him before saying

" are we about to play 21 questions or something "

He looked at me with a smirk

" I mean if that's what it takes for you to talk to me then yes "

I laughed a little before asking about his mom

he's said she was good and that she wants to see me since she hasn't seen me in a long time

And also how alani is now 11 

I was shocked to see that the conversation we was having was going well

Until my break was over an it was time for me to go  back to the store

we threw away our trash and made our way there as I was about go inside  messiah said

" I gotta go ma but I'll text you later give me your number "

as he passed me his phone I stared at it debating wether or not then I put my number in

He then pulled me into a hug then called Julian and they left

" soooo how did it go " I looked at her weird

"what do you mean"

" you and the brother with the dreads "

"you seemed like friendly with the way he hugged you "

Shaking my head " girl it wasn't nothing but some old friends catching up "

" mmmh girl butttt I did get his brothers number "

" you got Julian's number okkk I see you "

" girl you know " she said doing a lil dance then we both started laughing

" ain't y'all supposed to be working " I looked to the side and seen some customer

" you need help or something "

" Chile y'all ghetto  in here ion want this shit anymore "  she said as she walked out

Me and Jackie looked at each other then started laughing again

Cause sis it was never that serious

That's basically how it be around here sometimes When it's the afternoons

While stocking some shelves I couldn't help but think about messiah it felt nice to catch up on some things

I'm definitely surprised that Julian and Jackie it off though  jackie is the quiet around people she don't know

But she spoke to him like it wasn't nothing I'm proud of her for that tho
