I awoke with tears in my eyes, and a strange feeling of sorrow.

Was I . . . crying?

Letting the cold silk of my nightgown slip off my shoulders, I fastened my kimono in place, tying off the sash with a sakura-shaped ornament.

I lifted the curtain of my tent, the symbol of the Fatui billowing on my cape as I stepped into the center of the courtyard.

"I trust that you have all had adequate rest," I beamed, clapping my hands. "May this day be blessed by the goodwill of the gods. Let us do our best, in the name of the Tsaritsa!"

"Yes, my lady!" my subordinates cheered, heading straight to their assignments.

Two years had passed since I arrived in Liyue, and life was awfully eventful.

Not long after the Exuvia was discovered, I fed suggestions and ideas to Childe, persuading him to wreak havoc, convincing him that devastation was inevitable, leading him into his wildest dreams and satiating his bloodlust with promises of chaos. Meanwhile, I tinkered with the hierarchy of the Jade Chamber, whispering secrets to the Qixing and leaving warnings for Lady Ningguang to decipher. Without evoking even the slightest bit of suspicion, I prevented the devastation of the City of Contracts, for the lives of the innocent were more valuable to me than even the Geo Gnosis itself.

After that incident, I busied myself with the affairs of the Northland Bank, conducting audits, managing clients, swindling businessmen into impossible gambles, and collecting debts from silly old men who made the mistake of underestimating a woman's wits.

Seven hundred and thirty days had passed since I arrived in Liyue, and yet, not one went by when I didn't think of 'him'.

Scaramouche's Perspective

I awoke with tears in my eyes, and a strange feeling of sorrow.

Was I . . . crying?

Kicking off my sheets, I dunked my face in the water basin, staring at my reflection in the broken mirror.

I was a work of art, a work of art that resembled its creator so much that it revolted me.

I burst through the flaps of my tent, watching with annoyance as my soldiers scurried to their positions like a pack of squirrels.

"Slacking on your duties?" I snarled, curling my lip. "Get to work before I change my mind and murder you all."

"Yes, my lord!"

Two years had passed since I arrived in Mondstadt, and life was unimaginably dull.

After Signora retrieved the Gnosis of the Anemo Archon, she headed to Liyue, while I stayed in Mondstadt to keep tabs on the Traveler, who had emerged as a new threat to the Tsaritsa, and oversee Fatui activity in the region.

Seven hundred and thirty days had passed since I arrived in Mondstadt, and yet, not one went by when I didn't think of 'her'.
