3rd Person POV:
Minho seemed to be more smiley since the date, and Jisung was not complaining because seeing Minho happy made him happy.
They had been spending more time together, and Jisung was really happy he could help Minho in some way, but each passing day, the younger also grew more nervous about his feelings.
He could not exactly tell what it was though…
Fear of rejection?
Fear of getting awkward?
Fear of losing him?
No matter what it was, Jisung did not want to face it, so he decided to ask for advice from the only person he could think of.
Lee Felix.————————————
"I need advice, Lix," Jisung said, pacing the room with his phone pressed to his ear. His heart was racing, and he needed to hear a reassuring voice—Felix’s voice.
"Do you only think of me when you need advice—?" Felix replied, his tone teasing and mildly exasperated.
"Of course— NOT!" Jisung nearly shouted, rolling his eyes. "I think about you all the time, but this is important!"
"Alright, alright. Mhm, go on…" Felix’s voice softened, giving Jisung the space he needed.
“I followed your advice and went on a date," Jisung began, biting his lip nervously. "But now I’m scared of my feelings. Should I wait or confess? If he rejects me, I’ll just… move on, I guess? But if he says yes… that would be great, right?” He rambled, wringing his hands in the air like the answer would fall from the ceiling.
Felix chuckled. "Did he seem uncomfortable, annoyed, or even upset at any point?"
"No, he even said he liked the date!" Jisung groaned. "But what if he was just being polite—"
"Stop overthinking." Felix cut him off, his voice firm but kind. "You already went on a date. He knows you like him. Just be honest—tell him how you feel without asking for anything more yet. One step at a time."
Jisung huffed, falling into a chair. "But what if it gets awkward?"
"Bitch," Felix drawled slowly, "you’re making it awkward. You literally took him on a date. It’s obvious you like him—he probably likes you too. Just talk to him."
"Okay, Einstein," Jisung muttered under his breath.
"I can feel you rolling your eyes," Felix quipped.
"You deserve it."
"Alright, you know what? I’m done. Figure it out yourself."
"Wait—"
Click.
Jisung blinked at his phone, his jaw dropping.
"Did he seriously just hang up?" He stared at the screen like it had betrayed him, groaning as he flopped over the dining table.
Is falling in love always this hard? he wondered, burying his face in his arms. He sat up a moment later, determination sparking in his eyes.
"You know what, I’ll tell him." He stood up confidently—then immediately sat back down with a grunt of frustration.
