Prologue

I remember vaguely of everything that happened that night before I started at my new school. I remember putting my books and pencil case in my bag, my patient mother telling me all the ways a woman could fail, preparing for what was the start of the rest of my life. I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but I wasn't ready for what was to become. I often remember before I met him, I was completely conservative, never the kind of girl to preach the many ways of a man who lived carefree and never understanding of what is dangerous but now... everything has changed.
