the remainder of my week was uneventful. literally. bridget hasn't talked to lux since the incident, so i haven't really seen him around.

'hey rayne. would you maybe wanna spend the 3 day weekend with me? i know you probably wanna go home but you can come to my house and spend a few days'

in that moment. i forgot that lux was her brother. i said yes without even thinking.

'well. get your stuff thrown in a bag and let's go' she said with a bright smile

i threw 5 outfits and other shit in my bag

'OH YEA. remember a bathing suit. we have a pool and since it's labor day weekend, we're gonna be in it'

'i don't know how to swim so i don't have one. let's just go' i say and throw in some extra stuff

'we don't have to take your car. lux is taking us'

she laughed

'yes babe. lux. he's my older brother after all so he'll be going to'

fuck my life. i hate my brain. why didn't i think of that earlier. it's too late to cancel now.

a black corvette pulled up. THE ONE I SAW FROM 2-3 WEEKS AGO????'

she laughed again. my mouth was wide open

lux stepped out, looking better than ever. can i even think that?!? no. i take it back. his CAR looks better than ever

i scowled at him. which earned a grin from him

'i get sick as fuck and end up having to lay down.'

i throw my shit towards the front seat and i get in. a fucking dream. it's so nice. bridget threw herself inside, sitting on my lap and lux gently got in

'ready for a 4 hour drive?'

he was about to plug in his phone for music but i grabbed it before he could get that far

'if i have to be with you for 4 miserable hours, i'm listening to MY music'

he grinned but quickly wiped it off his face, trying to make sure no one saw it

i scroll thru my playlists trying to find a song.

but before i could, lux starts fucking speaking

'yo bridg mom said we may get there around 6-7 do you think you can go that long?'

'maybe. just don't sling me everywhere like you normally do'

'when lux was around 8 i was about 6, and he would still be pissing in vents if he got mad at mom or dad-'

'when he was 12 he went on his first roller coaster and there's a picture in the house of him upside down and puking'
