Backstory: Cordelia was never really given a name due to the fact that she was abandoned at birth but she'd always hang by the ocean and when she was old enough she taught herself how to swim and after that she became an excellent swimmer. Cordelia was swimming when she noticed some people toss a child onto the ocean and she quickly rushed over to save the child and brought him to an altar on a hill, saving his life and allowing him to become a demi-god. As the boy woke up he looked at Cordelia and thanked her for his rescue. They became best friends and maui gave Cordelia her name which pleased the gods and they made Cordelia a goddess of the ocean for her love of the water and her courage for saving someone.
