"Hey, Jinx"

"Uh, hi..." mumbled the blue head as Jela sat in front of her. "So honestly, how do you find Venestra?" The pale teen dug her nails into her skin while staring at her. "W-what do you mean?" "Well, I know your first day wasn't the best but apart from that... Any other thing you liked or disliked?"

Jinx's thin lips formed an 'O' before answering, "Well, I like that spot outside with the well and shit..." Jela patted her coily hair before adding, "Oh it's crazy how deserted it is though it's so pretty. People still paranoid about the fact a student died in the well some years back "

Jinx raised her brows. "I don't know if it's true or not but I've been hanging out there for a year now and I get no spooky vibes" The blue-eyed girl nodded slowly, wondering what to say. There was a moment of silence. Jela supporting her head with her small hand, Jinx looking anywhere except her gaze.

"Do you want me to introduce you to the group?" Jela broke the silence. "Huh?" The ravenette pointed to the girls sitting across the cafeteria. "I know the girls in your class might not be fond of you but it ain't a reason to stay alone. Yeah, Delia gave my girls a bad impression of you but they're more open to change"

Jinx hummed while gazing at the group of girls. It felt like too much to suddenly meet all of them, especially if they already thought bad of her. "I'm not alone since you're here so..." she trailed off. "What about all the times I'm not?" Jela smiled. The blue head shrugged.

"Aight, I won't force ya... But the offer's always on the table." she sighed while stretching her arms out. "Thanks..." "No need to. You still got a plate full of food in front of you, you ain't eating?" The teen nodded, "I just... got distracted "

Jinx took a bite of her food despite her anxieties threatening to make her puke. "So... What are you into? Kinda noticed drawing's a hobby of yours" "Y-yeah... How'd you know? Stupid question, you saw me" Jela nodded, "To be honest, I may have flipped through your notebook..."

"Just a little " she added quickly when Jinx's face flushed. "Anyway... Your drawings were quite interesting, you know" "Thanks..." Jela let out a sigh at how constrained the discussion felt, mostly due to Jinx's anxiety. Her face then found a new determined look as she asked, "What do you do in your free time?" "Oh, uh... Most of the time I'm tinkering in my lab..."

Jela perked up, "Woah, hold up... A lab?!" "Well, it's just the basement that I use as my workshop... I guess it's pretty big" she shrugged off. "Okay, so, what do you mean by tinkering? You some type of inventor?" Jinx grinned at the opportunity to talk about her passion.

"Well, nothing too serious since most of the ideas I originally thought of turned out to be illegal... That sucks but I made watered-down versions of them. So, there's Pow-pow. A minigun, it shoots blunt-impact projectiles since bullets are a no-no. They're basically plastic bullets that I capped with foam and filled with paint or pepper spray, depends on my mood. Then there's Zapper, a pistol that shoots pepper balls but I'm tweaking it so that it can shoot lil nets. I also made these... Called them Flame Chompers though I can't make them explode, instead, they're these paint and shaving cream bombs I use to make pranks"

Jela listened attentively to her ranting. Not only was it fascinating but she was glad Jinx was in her element. "Hey, do you have like any pics? I really wanna see" she beamed. The blue head chuckled, "My gallery's quite full of my little friends" While she unlocked her phone, the ravenette moved from sitting across Jinx to next to her.

The teen surprisingly didn't mind, Jinx was high on Jela's interest in her hobby. The girls looked through the quirky inventions, Jinx giving random details about her creative process. "This one's my fav because of the shark design. And because Silco loves those too. It's like a long-range version of a taser-" "Who's Silco?"
